Bowling!!

For Damon's birthday we wanted to do something fun and something we had never done before, so we decided to go bowling because we thought the boys would have a good time. They were pretty excited and seemed to have a good time. Radley liked it the most and Kyler and Damon were distracted by the video games in the back, but we all had a lot of fun!
There was a lot of jumping involved when Damon was bowling!
Bentley was perfectly content to just hangout with any and everyone!
She had fun meeting Aunt Haley for the first time!
Grandma got some hugs too!
Damon had just as much fun playing this game as he did bowling!
Kyler had some interesting form!!
"Is it my turn again?"  This kid loved bowling!
That smile!
He would stand like this waiting for his ball to hit the pins.  Bowling is serious stuff!

Kyler and Damon trying to figure out this bowling stuff!

Damon got a strike!!! Kyler got one too; I just didn't get it on film unfortunately.

Shooting Guns

One day when my Dad was off work, he wanted to take the boys shooting. To be honest, this really scared me. They don't know the difference between a real gun and a play gun and didn't really understand the seriousness of what we were doing. We gave them a little talk about it before we started, but I was still nervous. I had not shot any kind of gun since I had shot a BB gun when I was little and didn't really have any interest in it, but I wanted a few extra hands and eyes around with all 3 little boys going!! I am very relieved to report that we all escaped without injury! And yes, I shot a few guns too.

Getting ready for some gunshots!
Getting a ride from Uncle Brenn
Begging Uncle Logan for a ride
I could just squeeze him!
Grandpa and Daddy helping Kyler to shoot a .22
His aim was actually pretty good, and he hit the target a few times.
Damon taking his turn.
Just    so   ornery
Radley not quite so sure about his turn.
I was really nervous about shooting any gun.  Thankfully, this one was nice to us, and I hit the target on my first shot!
I did not like the 9mm.  It scared me!  I wasn't nearly as accurate with it!
My Dad showing me how the revolver works.  This gun was especially scary!
Uncle Colin helping Kyler shoot.
Grandpa and Radley
I love this boy!!
He is so sweet!
Kenney and I rode the 4-wheeler home this time!

Talley Lake

On Monday we went to Talley Lake. A gorgeous lake not too far away. The water was a little chilly for my liking (and Kenney's), but he boys swam around and took some rides on the JetSki. They had fun jumping off the little dock and throwing rocks too! We just thought it was amazing to be outside and not dying from heat, but actually enjoying the outdoors in the middle of the afternoon!!
Checking out the water temperature. We were reminded several times that we are wimps to the cold water!  We are very aware of that, but everyone in Montana were wimps to the heat outside!
It was such a pretty lake.
Someone is becoming quite a Daddy's girl!
Bentley loved the water.  The cold didn't seem to bother her at all!
I wasn't expecting her to swim, but she wanted in the water too.
All looking and smiling!!  It's a miracle!
She was trying to figure out what her daddy was doing with that big helmet!
2 cool dudes riding the 4-wheeler back to the house.
Warming up in the hot tub!
Goofy boys LOVED the hot tub.  They made several reappearances the following days!
His little face would get so red in the hot tub, and it made his eyes stand out so much. The picture doesn't do it justice!
Trying to open his eyes wide!
Hanging out in the super soft grass!  We don't have grass like this in Texas!

While we were at the lake there were bees everywhere, especially when the boys opened Capri Suns and fruit snacks. The bees didn't bother Radley one bit!! He would let them land on him and just sit there as calm as ever. It was AMAZING!!! I couldn't believe his composure! Kenney and Damon were a different story!!

The Airplane Ride

We were able to to go Montana to visit the other 1/2 of my family. It was great to see everyone and spend time with them and such a nice reprieve from the Texas heat! I didn't tell the boys we were going to Montana for a while because I was afraid I would be asked 100s of questions about when/how/where and any other mixture of questions about going. When we finally told them they were extremely excited. We were amazed at how well they traveled! We started our day off leaving home at 8am, driving 4 hours to Dallas, flying to St Paul/Minneapolis with a 3 hour layover, another flight to Kalispell, and finally arriving at 12am local time! They all did great! We got several comments about how good the kids were and how crazy we were for flying with 4 young kids!!

Radley wore his backpack around the house for about 2 hours the day before we left.  I guess he was making sure it wasn't too heavy for him!!
The bear we found in the hotel where we left our van while we were gone.
Riding the shuttle and enjoying picking their seats and not having seat belts!
Waiting for our plane to arrive!
Two things I love: Texas and ice cream!  That's happiness to me!
So grateful to have Kenney around to help make up games for the boys to play while waiting for the plane.  He's so good at it!
They loved being big and sitting by themselves!
Walking through the St. Paul / Minneapolis airport.  They loved the moving walkways!
Thank goodness for airport play areas!
This was just what they needed!
They were so excited to be on the plane!
