Lively Reunion

We had a great time with the Lively side of the family at a fun house outside of Paris, Texas. It was a great house with a pool table, air hockey, swimming pool, fishing pond, and more. The kids had a blast with so many things to do. Shandi and Sara brougt even more fun with a bubble machine, games, dinosaur eggs, and more. We all had a great time and enjoyed our time together. We really missed Emma Wren and whished she could have joined us too, but maybe we'll see her soon. Papa Dude wasn't feeling too great, so that was kinda sad, but he made the most of it for how bad he felt. We ventured to a lake one day and swam there and got a visit from Mammy and PawPal and Kyra. It was great to see them too!
Started off our trip with a Slurpee from Nanny.  The kids were stoked!!

Very happy about her drink
Stop to eat and play
They jumped into the pool as soon as they could.  Those are some really effective goggles, haha!
Aunt Sara brought her nail stuff to share which all of us girls loved!  Mackenzie was really good about letting the polish cure.

The horse was quite the hit, especially for Zadi, lol.  She kept the horse fed while we were there, and the kids all got a turn to pet him.
So many pretty lily pads on the pond.
These two were a lot of fun to watch.  They really loved to walk around the edge of the pool without floaties, but they also loved to swim!
Nothing better than popsicles in the pool!
Oma got a lot of lovin'
There was definitely some video game playing too, it got really hot during the middle of the day with the high humidity.
Kyler loved playing pool with Papa Dude and Papa Dude's dad.  There was a lot of trash talking and learning going on.  It was fun to watch and listen to.  The pool table got a lot of attention from all of us.
He really got pretty good and spent a lot of time working on it.
The slip-n-slide was really fun for Mackenzie!
Bentley got that one to squirt!!
Double fisting it!
Someone got Sara!!
Learned the double fisting from Kyler!
He's about to get someone!
Yep Dad got in the action too!
Radley figured out a strategy to get a way from everyone while keeping away from everyone else.
Someone got Kyler, haha!!!
He was left with a few marks!!
Catching some fish!
Paddling around
Biggest catch belongs to Kyler!!  It was a group effort to reel it in, but Kyler got the initial bite on his tiny pole.  They knew it was a big fish, but they never expected to get a 25lb catfish on the shore!
That fish brought smiles all the way around.
Kenney had a blast trying to get the fish in.  It took a while because it was caught on such a tiny pole, but they had such a good time.
I told the kids they could have a popsicle if they let me mark their noses with a pool stick.  All of them let me, haha!!
More treats!
Even more treats!!

Playing with a frog!

She gained some independence in the pool by jumping in all by herself.

She finally caught on to the counting and waiting until they said 3 to jump.

Damon loves playing with his little sister, and it's so fun to watch.

Bentley finally decided that she knew how to swim while she was there.  She didn't have to work very hard, but she gained the confidence she needed to go solo and hasn't looked back since!

Fun on the slip-n-slide!

Who doesn't love to throw water balloons?!?

The bubble machine was quite the hit for an indoor activity, especially when the music got going too.

Sunday Morning Walk and Conner's Grave

One Sunday morning right after we started going back to church in Childress, Kenney had an early morning meeting. The kids and I decided to go walk around at the park rather than sit in the car or the church. It was such a nice morning, a little cloudy and a few rain drops, but it was beautiful outside. After seeing the ducks and turtles, throwing rocks in the water and running on the bridge, we still had some time before church started. I thought I should take the kids to go see Conner's grave. We drove around trying to find it because I wasn't positive where it was. We found it really easily. The kids enjoyed reading all the names trying to spot it. Once we got out and I gathered the kids around the grave to take a picture I noticed the dates. We were there June 13, 2021, 28 years exactly after he died. It was a little tender mercy from God that of all the mornings we ended up there it was on June 13th. There was a really special spirit there that morning.

Camping, Fishing, and Bentley Ride her Bike

The boys were able to start summer off with camping at the Skinner place with Dad and Papa. They had a great time, caught some fish, told ghost stories, went swimming, and got majorly dirty!
Got a big one with Papa
Scaling the canyon wall
Close up!

The picture doesn't show the effort the boys made to climb the wall.

She started off a little shaking and unsure.

It was incredible to watch her progress so quickly!  I thought it might take a week or so, but she picked this up faster than any of her brothers.  I didn't see that coming!

Honestly, by the end of day one, she pretty much had it down.  Way to go girl!!

Can you believe this is only day 2??? She really has done amazing and has done it quickly!

We saw this at the parking lot that we took her to.  Only in Texas!!

Summer Cousin Fun & More

Radley had a lot of fun at VBS!
Luke, Bruce and Damon
Tyce and Kyler
Mackenzie & Brek
Damon and Luke completely covered!!
Ensuring they have mud everywhere, so gross!
Radley wasn't going to be left out of the action!
Bentley, Brek, and Mackenzie
So glad I wasn't there for this picture.  This is the snake that Brek stepped on and that bit her foot!!  They went back and found the snake to ensure it was not venomous and to kill it.
Damon, Asher, Radley, Luke, and Bruce
Carter, Emma, Taysom, and Bentley
These two are never far apart!
Rolling in their nasty mud puddle that they made.

Some of these kids, mostly mine, need to work on their diving skills!! Their order was Kyler, Luke, Radley, Bruce, Asher, Tyce, and Damon

Closer view of their lacking skills, haha!

They've got their cannonball skills down!

Living here there is never a shortage of kids to play with

I wish I had those moves and that confidence.
