Elementary Track Meet

The kids all love this day, and we love watching them.  Bentley and Radley both showed up to work hard, and they were successful.  It's still odd only having to run between 2 kids, but rather nice also.

That's a lot of ribbons!!
Bentley's class
The cheering squad!

Those little legs move fast, and he loves competing.

He certainly is quick!

Nice jump!!

Mackenzie's commentary is right on, "Radley threw it far!"

This girl is pretty fast herself!

She's fast without much effort it seems.  I always wonder how much effort she truly does put forth.

Her long jumping is much more natural when she doesn't think about it.

She hasn't forgotten the step and throw from t-ball, haha!

End of School & Fun Run

The end of the school year is always crazy and this year was no exception. The kids had all sorts of things going on, and we added a PTO Fun Run too. There were obstacles, a bounce house and water guns. What more could the kids want?? It was a great time, and Mackenzie and I helped to run it all day long!

The first graders spelled out SECOND as a themed day leading up to the end of school.  E was exercise day so they wore workout clothes.
C was for cowboy day.
Tug of War
Riding Horses
O was out of this world, and Bentley was an alien.
Best looking alien there!
Radley earned a trip to Wonderland for getting 100 AR points.
Damon with some friends.
Testing out the bouncy balls before the Fun Run.
5th grade at the Fun Run
The water was a hit!
Mackenzie and I were out there all day.  She did great!
It was fun for her to see her siblings.
2nd grade
Bentley's hair, haha!
Mackenzie got to test out the bounce house several times.

There's got to be some benefit to having your mom be the PTO president right??  The kids tested out the balls and helped blow them up.  I think they approved.

Mackenzie joined in with several different grades on the bounce house.

She figured out that potato sack pretty quick!

Radley make quick work of the bouncy ball, maybe that practice in the living room paid off.  I love Mackenzie cheering him on too!

All of the kids LOVED the water.  Somehow Radley became the target and got so wet, I had to run home for new, dry clothes.

Oops! Didn't film that very well, but Bentley was running pretty hard!

I think the bounce house and the water were the biggest hits!

Early May

As always May ends up being a super super busy month!  Before all the end of year school stuff we still kept busy.

Acey caught a mole, but it wasn't in our yard.  Kenney was super happy about it, but bummed it was out of the neighbor's yard.
Damon is really good at playing the trombone
Bentley being goofy with her friend Blair
Always striking a pose
Kenney and the boys went to help someone in the branch trying to remodel this trailer to live in.
Jaylen is getting bigger and bigger, but look at that cool shirt.
He's getting bigger and stronger
The garden is growing!!

Breakfast in bed for Mother's Day

5 of my biggest blessings that are growing by the minute!!

I got a carpet cleaner and it was disgusting looking at that nasty water from the dirty carpets.

Kenney was so excited she could catch a mole!  He let Acey play with it for a long time hoping she would start to get the ones out of our yard.

These girls attended a lot of baseball games!!  They always found someway to entertain themselves.

He's so cool on that bike with those glasses, haha!!

Kenney noticed at one of the widow's homes that we go visit sometimes that she had a riding lawn mower.  He talked to her about how it had been sitting there for about 5 years after only being used 2 times.  Kenney offered to buy it from her, but she gave it to our boys.  We had to do some things to it before it was running well again, but it made Kyler so happy!

That is a true smile from Kyler.  They are hard to come by, but beautiful when they appear.

Mackenzie is surprisingly good at yard ninja, and she loves it!!

Damon's Baseball

Damon had a very successful baseball season.  He had a great time with his friends, and I can't find the video, but he has the best time running the bases and dancing while he's out there.  He doesn't have a ton of confidence in baseball, but his a natural. He mostly played 1st base, but he did pitch a few times.

He has some of the fastest reactions on his team.

He wasn't the strongest pitcher, but he is very accurate.

These were some great pitches in there.

This cracked me up!  He's a little dramatic, but it gets the job done.

He loves running bases and he's really good at it!

More good hits.

He rarely got on base without getting all the way around.

Another double and another stolen base!

Radley's Baseball

Radley had a pretty successful baseball season. It was tough playing mostly against the same Wellington team, but it was so nice when they were able to play against other teams from Clarendon and Childress. Radley can play anywhere Kenney needed him to. He was the most consistent pitcher, but also played catcher and 1st base. I think he also played 2nd base and shortstop a time or two. He understands the game better than anyone else on his team, and he LOVES baseball.

Nice single

He's always looking to steal.

Rarely does he get up to bat without a hit.

He's a pretty dang good pitcher!

He did however, hit some of his batters, oops!

Strike 3!!

Stealing bases was a usual occurrence.
