Bentley's track meet ended up being on one of the worst mornings of the spring! It was super windy and pretty dang cold! The kids handled it really well considering what they were doing. Bentley did a great job! I honestly didn't know what to expect. She's not the most active or involved when it comes to this kind of stuff, but she did really well! She either has been exposed to this stuff so much it seeped in, or she's natually athletic, maybe both. Either way, she did really well. Damon was super excited because he was able to come help too. He loved cheering on Bentley was watching her compete for the first time. Thankfully, Kenney was able to be there too or we would not have much video. I was helping time the 100m so I didn't get so see her do much. Overall, it was a great day even with the weather!
Obstacle Course, for not being as active as her brothers, she did really well!
Throwing wasn't too bad either!
Her long jump was super impressive compared to all of her classmates. She was one of the only ones coordinated enough to actually JUMP!
It was super close at the end, but this was pretty much the only event she didn't win.
Her jacket distracted her, but in the end she pulled out a win! I also love that you can her Damon yelling for her as she finished! He was super proud!
I didn't get too many pictures from Kyler's season, but he had a GREAT season! His hitting started off rough once again, but he found his groove! It was so awesome to see his confidence grow as he was able to make contact with the ball. He even got a home run; it was in the park, but he got all the way around. He ran the bases really well and was never thrown out. He didn't get a lot of action in the outfield, but he did well when a ball came his way. He pitched a couple times and improved each time. Overall, he had a very successful season!

I'm still so bummed Kenney and I both missed the actual hit, but he was able to get all the way around! He hit the ball with his friend Alex's bat, and Alex ended up gifting the bat to Kyler. It was a really great moment for Kyler. He hit with that bat every time after this. I don't think he'll ever forget this moment!
I love how his helmet flies off, he catches it, then puts it back on, and keeps running all the way to third!!
Damon had a lot of success this year in baseball and a lot of fun! He enjoyed being one of the bigger kids and played great. He was first base most of the time, because he was one of the only kids that could consistently catch a ball. He also pitched for the first time ever. It wasn't his greatest strength, but he was able to help his team when needed. Almost every time he got to bat he was able to hit the ball or get walked. He learned how to run the bases better than before and was very successful at stealing those bases!!
Kyler's friend Jax was able to correctly predict that Damon would get a hit and steal third base. It was really funny even though I didn't get the steal recorded!
Damon's speed seems to always give him an advantage. He was able to get all the way around the bases before the team could even throw the ball in. He didn't even have to depend on errors to get around.
Got around quite easily; his only obstacle was his own coach!!
He wasn't super consistent, but he was able to get some really good pitches in there!

I love how he pays attention and knows to keep running but looks back to make sure his coach wants him to keep going, haha!
Radley had a great season. He loves baseball never complained about games or practice. He was quick to tell us he never struck out and only once or twice did he not hit the ball on the first pitch! He played first base all season because he was one of the only kids that could catch the ball, and he did great!
He really did hit amazing this season. He will be ready to move up next year!

Radley learned a valuable lesson when he passed the runner in front of him and got out. He never did that again, but he got really tired of slow people running the bases!!
He also made it all the way around several times. The errors helped most of the time, but he was fast enough a few times to beat the throws if he hit it far enough.
Bentley has watched her brothers play sports her entire life and this was her first chance to play herself. She was excited but super nervous. She would come to me randomly during the weeks leading up to her games telling me she didn't want to play. She would get to thinking while she laid in bed going to sleep and always get scared. Thankfully she did freeze when it came to the actual games. Bentley was the lucky kid this year that got Dad to coach her. It was very helpful that Kenney was able to be there for everything. She ended up doing awesome! I didn't get to see as many of her games as I would have liked because of the concession stand and Radley playing at the same time, but it was fun to watch her.
Dad told her to step and throw. She listened really well and took and exaggerated step every time she threw, but she was the most accurate on her team!
Most of her team on opening day. She was really nervous to play after this because they announced each player, but she did well considering her fears.

I guess sometimes it's not worth waiting for the first baseman to look before throwing. In her defense, he didn't pay attention much, but Kenney put him there because he was one of the only kids that could throw it all the way back to home plate.
