Christmas with Nana & Papa

We usually do Christmas with Nana & Papa around Thanksgiving, but this year we did it before Thanksgiving!! It was really odd, but she wanted as many people as possible to be at her house. Shayla and kids were there before Thanksgiving along with Kaden & Grace and Kacy & Coby, so we did it then.  The kids didn't seem to mind one bit!
Bentley took her role as the star very seriously.  The star needed to be directly over baby Jesus.
Lots of kids!!

She wouldn't stop with the star, haha
Nana got all the grandkids matching jammies for Christmas.  The kids all seemed to like them, except for Mackenzie.
Damon and Luke
Mackenzie was pretty shy with all the added people at Nana's house.
So sad...

Mackenzie really didn't want to wear those pajamas.  Even after we came home she refused to let us put them on her again.  She was traumatized!!

Kyler and Tyce came up with a handshake.  I didn't get the first part of it.

Bentley Turns 5

Bentley is 5!! She still seems like such a little girl, but she is getting so big! She still loves all things feminine and frilly.  Every morning she is very concerned about the clothes she wants to wear and which shoes will match.  She loves accessories and makeup too.  She also notices all those things on other people.  I wonder if she will always be this way.  It still surprises me with all of her brothers, but she could care less what they think.
She wanted to wear her Belle dress and have her hair curled.  She loves being a girl and fully embraces it unlike everyone else in this house!!
We had to do cupcakes too which didn't get roses, but red flowers were close enough.
She wanted a Belle cake, and this is the best I could do.  She seemed please with it.
He went a little crazy with the hair chalk Bentley got for her birthday.

Everyone experimented with the hair chalk!  Mackenzie even colored the carpet...

She couldn't wait for her birthday and loved every second of it!

Life Keeps Moving On

She loves it when Dad reads to her.
Kyler decided he wanted to learn how to solve a Rubik's Cube, so he did.  He looked up the algorithms on YouTube and memorized them in about 3 days.  He was able to complete it in less than 2 minutes, and just keeps practicing.

Our friends the Barlow family often join us for church.  Bentley is here leading the music with her friend Rafe.
Bentley got a mask from her teacher and wanted to show it off.
There's no social distancing when food is involved!!
This is often how and where you can find Mackenzie when we are trying to get homework done.  She needs paper to work on too!

Here he is in action!  It's pretty amazing to watch!

This girls is crazy at all times, and the bath is definitely no different.
