Halloween LOTR

The theme was chosen, and Oma & Papa Dude pulled it off! Lord of the Rings was somehow agreed upon by everyone. The boys were able to convince the girls to go along with it because they would be 'princesses' probably not quite the type of princess they were thinking of, but they never complained. Kenney even got into the spirit and dressed up with the kids.

The Barlow's go all out for Halloween, and the kids love it! The hot dogs are awesome and all the decorations!

Mackenzie had a great time in Bentley's class.  She is going to love school.

Young Men's activity

Sister Avalon did an activity for all the kids with an impressive Harry Potter feast and games.  It was really impressive, and I think our kids would have liked it more if they liked Harry Potter.

This girl is never predictable!

My friend Brooke donated her kidney to her mom.  I asked if I could help them and somehow it turned into dog sitting.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.  Mackenzie loved having Lucy around.

She was seriously the loudest dog I have ever been around.  She didn't do anything quietly.  Even Acey was scared of the weird loud noises she made at first.  Acey wouldn't even go up to her.

Feeding Mackenzie has always been complicated.  If we can convince her to try the food and keep her from getting distracted (or distract her from eating) she will sometimes eat her food.

Rocket Football

Fridays are for football in Wellington! (and Thursdays for the junior high).  Everyone, basically, wears red and most little girls wear cheerleading uniforms.

Damon is always down for a game, and the attention on him doesn't deter him.  He couldn't be more different than Kyler.

I was impressed how easy playing the snare came to Kyler.  He didn't even seem to have to put much effort into it.

This was hilarious!!  I think it shocked the boys as much as everyone else!

Altus Air Force Base Show

We were super excited when we found out the Altus Air Force base was doing another air show (or so we thought). We got there a little earlier so that we could go on the planes and more of the activities they have.  However, there was basically no air show.  Some planes would fly over, but last time there were jets doing a really cool show with maneuvers and stuff.  There was none of that this time, just planes in sets of 2 at the most flying straight over the runway.  We still had a great time going inside the planes and walking around together.

This is a fuel plane.  It gets close to other planes and refuels them while flying!  This is the back of the plane where they control the parts that fill the other planes.

There is a sense of pride and patriotism when you are at an air force base and hear the national anthem.

Bentley and Radley had a good time with the slides.  I tried to take Kyler and Damon on the simulator, but after waiting in line we found out they weren't even old enough to do them, bummer!
