End of May

Enrique is one of Kenney's patients that was in a really bad car accident halfway through his senior year.  He was hoping to be able to walk without assistance at his graduation.  Kenney was super excited to see him be able to achieve that goal!

I hope going to church will be a positive influence in my kids' lives.

Radley checking the growth of his sunflower.
Mackenzie had a great time pushing Logan around in his wheelchair after he had surgery again.

I have a feeling this is just the beginning of this type of pictures
Damon hasn't hit that growth point yet.
Mackenzie was great with Logan!

No hands...

Kyler's Baseball

I was actually shocked when Kyler said he wanted to play baseball again.  I thought he would have fun with his friends,  and I knew he was much better than he thought he would be.  However, I didn't think he would actually play.  The season started off pretty rough, but Kyler stuck it out and ended up having a pretty good time!  His confidence grew which helped his hitting, and he enjoyed being around the other players.

Kyler's first year in senior league was Conner and Jace's last year.  It was fun to see these guys play against each other.  They made the game a lot of fun for Kyler and helped him to relax and enjoy the game.

This was a really nice hit!

He had a couple hits like this through the season, but we were super happy he made contact!

Kyler is not a risk taker and his coach is!  It was funny watching the two of them when he made it to base.  She wanted him to steal on every pitch, and he would only do it if she knew he'd be safe.

Kyler was able to get a good hit off of Jace pitching.  Kyler had quite the cheering section!

Jace got him back the next time they faced off by catching the foul ball Kyler hit!

End of Year Awards

The kids have all done so very well this year in school.  They work hard and help others kids along the way!  All of their teachers have the best things to say about each one of the kids.  They all racked in the awards.

I hate these dang envelopes they give the kids because they always hold them up almost blocking their faces.
Bentley on stage with her classmates.  She looks huge up there, but the kids to the right of her are the smallest in her class.
Aunt DeeAnne and Nanny, along with Oma, Papa Dude and Zadi were all able to make the elementary awards assembly.
Radley was so happy, and we were so proud!
The award he was most happy to receive.
So proud of her brothers!!
Kyler received so many different awards.  He's loved by all.

Kyler was #2 this year.  I don't think he was too disappointed since it was one of his friends, but I still think he'll keep trying to get that spot back.

Damon received a lot of awards as well. He works so hard so that he will never let anyone down.  He also doesn't realize that he is so much smarter than he realizes.

I knew Damon was going to be in the top 10, but I think he was just as surprised as us when he was #1!!  We know he is more than capable, but didn't realize he was putting that much effort in since he rarely brought home any work.

Elementary Track Meet

The kids all love this day, and we love watching them.  Bentley and Radley both showed up to work hard, and they were successful.  It's still odd only having to run between 2 kids, but rather nice also.

That's a lot of ribbons!!
Bentley's class
The cheering squad!

Those little legs move fast, and he loves competing.

He certainly is quick!

Nice jump!!

Mackenzie's commentary is right on, "Radley threw it far!"

This girl is pretty fast herself!

She's fast without much effort it seems.  I always wonder how much effort she truly does put forth.

Her long jumping is much more natural when she doesn't think about it.

She hasn't forgotten the step and throw from t-ball, haha!

End of School & Fun Run

The end of the school year is always crazy and this year was no exception. The kids had all sorts of things going on, and we added a PTO Fun Run too. There were obstacles, a bounce house and water guns. What more could the kids want?? It was a great time, and Mackenzie and I helped to run it all day long!

The first graders spelled out SECOND as a themed day leading up to the end of school.  E was exercise day so they wore workout clothes.
C was for cowboy day.
Tug of War
Riding Horses
O was out of this world, and Bentley was an alien.
Best looking alien there!
Radley earned a trip to Wonderland for getting 100 AR points.
Damon with some friends.
Testing out the bouncy balls before the Fun Run.
5th grade at the Fun Run
The water was a hit!
Mackenzie and I were out there all day.  She did great!
It was fun for her to see her siblings.
2nd grade
Bentley's hair, haha!
Mackenzie got to test out the bounce house several times.

There's got to be some benefit to having your mom be the PTO president right??  The kids tested out the balls and helped blow them up.  I think they approved.

Mackenzie joined in with several different grades on the bounce house.

She figured out that potato sack pretty quick!

Radley make quick work of the bouncy ball, maybe that practice in the living room paid off.  I love Mackenzie cheering him on too!

All of the kids LOVED the water.  Somehow Radley became the target and got so wet, I had to run home for new, dry clothes.

Oops! Didn't film that very well, but Bentley was running pretty hard!

I think the bounce house and the water were the biggest hits!

Early May

As always May ends up being a super super busy month!  Before all the end of year school stuff we still kept busy.

Acey caught a mole, but it wasn't in our yard.  Kenney was super happy about it, but bummed it was out of the neighbor's yard.
Damon is really good at playing the trombone
Bentley being goofy with her friend Blair
Always striking a pose
Kenney and the boys went to help someone in the branch trying to remodel this trailer to live in.
Jaylen is getting bigger and bigger, but look at that cool shirt.
He's getting bigger and stronger
The garden is growing!!

Breakfast in bed for Mother's Day

5 of my biggest blessings that are growing by the minute!!

I got a carpet cleaner and it was disgusting looking at that nasty water from the dirty carpets.

Kenney was so excited she could catch a mole!  He let Acey play with it for a long time hoping she would start to get the ones out of our yard.

These girls attended a lot of baseball games!!  They always found someway to entertain themselves.

He's so cool on that bike with those glasses, haha!!

Kenney noticed at one of the widow's homes that we go visit sometimes that she had a riding lawn mower.  He talked to her about how it had been sitting there for about 5 years after only being used 2 times.  Kenney offered to buy it from her, but she gave it to our boys.  We had to do some things to it before it was running well again, but it made Kyler so happy!

That is a true smile from Kyler.  They are hard to come by, but beautiful when they appear.

Mackenzie is surprisingly good at yard ninja, and she loves it!!
