Mackenzie's Ears

One weekend we were split up with half of us going to Altus, and the other half going to Panhandle for basketball games.  The girls and I were watching Kyler in Panhandle and decided to go to Amarillo between games to get Mackenzie's ears pierced.  She was basically the same age as Bentley when hers were done.  I was shocked at how well she did.  She doesn't really like the cleaning part, but never even cried!  I love how cute she is and how much she loves it!

Checking them out for herself in the mirror!
Bentley was a huge support and was so excited for her too!
No tears!!
I was shocked how well she handled the first one, especially after the earring got stuck.  I thought for sure she wasn't going to let us do the second one.

She was so so brave!!  I couldn't believe it!  She was so excited after it was over, showing everyone after it was over.

Snow!!!

This kid has always loved snow!
She loves it just as much!
And they all love to eat it.
Trying to catch some flakes!
It was a good snow and so beautiful.
I think the girls were confused between sand and snow!

So pretty!!

Always eating snow

Damon was excited to use the snowball maker he saw online.

The inevitable snowball fight!

This just cracked me up!  I love that Mackenzie just laid there so peacefully!

January!!

Damon received the priesthood and was ordained to the office of a deacon.  He was given the priesthood in our house with Papa & Papa Dude.  It was really neat to do it at home.
A lesson with the missionaries and paper airplanes.
My first attempt at sourdough bread.  It was pretty successful for my first try!
Those glasses fit perfectly!
Young Men's activity about missionary skills.
Bentley won the cake decorating contest at activity day.
Always posing somehow.
Out with the old and in with the new!!  It took months to get here and an adjustment to our cabinets, but we got a new fridge and all of us are thrilled with it.  We LOVE it!!

Young Men's activity at Brother Worthington's about 3D printing.  He was amazing to the boys and taught them all so much!

Beautiful Texas sunset
Playoff football games at Nanny's!!

Brother Worthington's maker space is very impressive!

I'm not sure what these moves are, maybe trying to be like the toy???

Las Vegas Strip

Taking the kids to the strip was a little unnerving at first.  We didn't know how busy it would be or how 'dirty' (in multiple uses of that word) it would be.  We were pleasantly surprised and had a great and long day.  The kids did amazing, blowing our expectations actually, especially Bentley.  We walk so far and so long!  Thankfully, there were so many things to see and do.

The kids all had some spending money and choose to do fun things with it.  Radley, Bentley, and Mackenzie decided to use their money at the arcade in Excalibur.  Damon wanted to ride the New York, New York roller coaster, so he did that with Kenney while the rest of us were at the arcade.  Kyler tagged along to the arcade, but decided to spend his money on some souvenirs.  We had a great day and were able to make some lasting memories!

1st stop "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign.  The sun was a little bright!!
The Beatles!!
We didn't realize this picture was going to cost us $5, eek!
Caesar's Place
Paris loving boy and the Eiffel Tower
Inside the Belliago
They were taking down the winter garden, so we didn't get to see the pretty view inside the Belliago
Trump Tower, Damon said, "I don't see a building with Biden on it!" hahaha
M&M Factory
Individualized bags of M&Ms.  Those didn't last long!!
Pound it!
Lunch break
Chocolate Statue of Liberty

Waiting in line for New York, New York roller coaster
Waiting for the fountains
Inside the Paris Casino
All lit up

The Venetian
The kids were so enthralled with the escalators.  They would go up and down, up and down.  So not only did they walk miles, the went up and down a lot of extra stairs too, just to ride the escalators.

This was the first escalator of the day.

So many different things to see and look at.

Walking through one of the many casinos.  The boys were a great help with Mackenzie, taking turns carrying her, entertaining her, etc.

So many color options and flavor options too.

The glass elevator was a huge hit!!

Radley was on a roll!  I missed most of the made shots, but he was doing amazing!

Guess who choose this 'game'???

Bentley was rejuvenated after getting a prize from the arcade.  We realized if we buy her something she lasts much longer on days like this.  I was so sad I missed the really cool dance moves Mackenzie had as we passed a guy playing some music off to the side, right after this video was taken.

Waiting for the fountains!!

We were able to see the fountains with a great song!  The kids now correlate this song with the Belliago fountains. During the show, Mackenzie dropped her new unicorn that she got at the arcade into the water.  Damon saw her face and the devastation and proceeded to jump down shimmy across the wall and reach down to grab it.  He saved the day!! And we didn't get caught!

When they started it was just in the middle section of the water.  As I moved the camera back, the fountains and lights stretched across the entire lake.  I love the expression I was able to capture on Kyler's face!
I have no idea how the girls had this much energy still!  It was getting late and we had walked so so much!  I loved their moves and enthusiasm!

The energy didn't last!  She was fading, but it was so nice that she wasn't grumpy tired.  She was a great sport all day.  All of the kids were!
