Basketball

Some parents were getting a basketball team together for the 1st graders and asked Kyler to be on the team. We didn't really want to do the travel team thing, but they eliminated Kyler and Damon's age group from the league they have here in town. We were really bummed because we knew Damon really wanted to play, and we were looking forward to watching them play together. Since they couldn't do that, we decided to let him play on this other team. It has been really good for Kyler. He's not the most aggressive, go-getter, but he has fun and is getting better. It actually quite funny to watch him play because he avoids the ball at all costs, if he knows where it is. For some reason we can't get this smart boy to watch the ball!! He's gotten a few good rebounds and a couple shots, but mostly just runs away from any action. I haven't taken many good pictures of him yet, but there are a few videos!

These 3 have been really supportive of their brother even though they really don't like to go watch his games.
Lining up to play defense against the tallest kid.

Kyler literally runs away from the ball!! Watching him prance around is pretty funny too!  Kyler is white #23

He has definetley grasped the concept of staying with your man on defense, but he refuses to watch the ball and his man!

He did so well this game and actually dribbled the ball and made a good pass.

Never a Boring Moment Here

Every time I turn around these kids are doing something new, messy, or crazy! My life is never dull with them around!

Damon's abstract ABC's that he did during church.
Damon came out of his room one night saying Radley was being too loud for him to fall asleep.  I told him he could lay down in our room for a little bit, but later we couldn't find him on the floor.  Well, he climbed up on the bed and buried himself in all the pillow and made himself quite comfortable!
Getting some confidence in the bounce house (only when the big kids are gone).
These two are quite the pair during the day.  They annoy one another at times, but they love playing together.
Getting some sun!
She has reached the age where she won't let me feed her and she gets so gross!!  I don't remember the boys getting messy like this as often as she does.

Outside Fun

The weather has been unusally warm for February. I'm really not thrilled about that because there have been several days our house was over 80 degrees, but I refuse to turn on the air conditioner in the winter!! However, the kids have been loving the outdoors!  Bentley and Radley beg to play at the park and to play on the playground while we wait for Kyler and Damon to get out of school.

One Saturday after Kyler's basketball games all the boys and Kenney went 'fishing' with Papa.  I don't believe there was much fishing going on because they found mud!!  They were covered when they got back!

Bentley loved it when Radley pushed her in the swing.
Bentley loves slides too.  She will climb, no matter how high, to go down the slides.
Boys and Mud!!!
Dirty boys, but just look at Kyler!!! Hahaha!!  Where does he learn to pose like that??
This one of Kyler is even better!!  Making Daddy proud!!
So unbelievably dirty!
He looks like the cutest Dalmatian puppy!

The Photogenic PT

Kenney is a rather popular physical therapist these days. In the last couple weeks his picture has been published in the newspaper and the Texas Tech Health Science Center Alumni Magazine.  He wanted to make sure I showed everyone these pictures because he is so proud...NOT!  He actually told me to throw them away, but I insisted that we keep them for posterity's sake!  In all seriousness, he is a great PT and a good looking one too so why wouldn't someone want to photograph him?

Kenney with a patient at the hospital.  Apparently he had no idea his picture would end up in the newspaper.  No one told him what the picture was for.  He came home one day with the paper because someone was giving him a hard time about the picture.
He made the cover, ok the back cover, but the cover none the less!  He's working with a child on the far right at the neruo and pediatric clinic he worked for in Lubbock.
One of his friends on Facebook actually noticed this picture and tagged him in it, and then we got the magazine in the mail.

Mom's Girls Trip

For Christmas Kenney got me a girls trip with one of my best friends from Lubbock to Dallas and Waco. It was so much fun! I had not spent the night away from my kids since our trip to England in 2011, so I was really excited. I drove to Dallas and picked up Tiffany from the airport because she lives in Arizona now. We then drove to Waco the next morning to visit the Magnolia Silos from the show Fixer Upper. We didn't have any set plans besides that so it was really nice. The trip ended up being as much about food as anything. We went to In-N-Out because the California girl in me hasn't died yet, I got a gyro, we went to Carol's Bakery and got a cannoli and lobster tail both of which were really good but super pricey, I had Costa Vida for the first time and it was really good, and the cupcakes from The Silos Baking Co. were the best!  They looked way better than the cupcakes at Carol's.

We also went to a movie which was fun. We slept and got ready without little hands and mouths bothering us!  It was amazing!  I was actually worried that I wouldn't want to come home, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was excited to see my kids again!  (I know that sounds awful, but I was really glad I missed them so much!)

Poor Kenney had a rough weekend.  I'm  not sure he will let me leave again, but I told him he's coming next time!  Between the basketball games and a pipe busting at our rent house it was a long weekend for him.  He did great with the kids, and I think only Bentley and Radley seemed to  miss me.  However, when I got in the car to drive home with the kids Kyler and Damon said I had been gone a long time!!  "You were gone two days Mom!"
The Silos were so much fun!
The Silos Baking Company
The cupcakes were excellent!  We really liked the strawberry one the best.
The actual Silos
Everyone there is so nice.  We asked someone working there how often Chip and Joanna are actually at the Silos, and they said right  now they are filming so they don't come as often during filming, dang.  However she said a week or two ago Chip had the kids on a balcony throwing shirts down to everyone visiting that day!  She said they are great people.
The green house made me think of Papa Dude.  It was so pretty I almost wanted one, almost!
Our garden will never look this good!
This is what most of the men were doing, haha!!  I thought Kenney would be doing the same!
My dream herb garden!
I actually thought my kids would have a lot of fun playing here with the blocks, swings, balls, etc.
We passed on the food trucks, but there was a lot of food there!
We didn't plan it this way, but apparently our trip was a lot of about food!!
I thought the wisk handles were a nice touch.
The Cake Boss Family
The delivery truck.  The display cakes were really pretty, but I wonder if they are anywhere as good as the ones on TV.
Last but not least, we got pedicures!
I got this picture from Kerry of Bentely with her Uncle Kevin on Saturday while everyone was in Altus watching basketball games.  She was impressed Kenney did Bentlley's hair!  I was impressed too.  He told me it looked better in the front than the back, but I still think he did a great job!
All ready for church with pigtails from Daddy!
Daddy did good!

Shopping with Kids & Elsa's Car

We had to go to Amarillo twice recently with all the kids, and it's always an adventure shopping with our entire family! There are a few shots that Kenney took while I was frantically searching the clearance for next year's winter clothes! The video is pretty funny too!

One morning Kenney walked out to his car and notice that it had some neat designs on it from the frost.  He said it looked like Elsa from Frozen had touched it.  I have never seen anything like it.  However, if Elsa had touched it I think she meant for it to remain frozen!  She's far too cool to drive a car like that, haha!!

These two were busy climbing on the displays while the other two were hiding in all the clothes.
But aren't they just so cute?!?
They have to touch everything!!!
The designs were actually really cool!
The top
The top from a different angle.
It seriously looked like the car was frozen.
How does this even happen?

This might be part of the reason Kenney hates shopping! He blames most of it on his mom, but I know this isn't helping!
