Dumb Deer

Our family has new lyrics to a Christmas song... "Kenney's truck got ran into by a dumb deer." It is sung to the tune of "Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer." Kenney and Kyler went to go pick up a Christmas tree, and on the way home, a deer ran into the truck.

Kenney saw about 8 deer crossing the road 4 blocks from our house so he stopped. He looked out his window and saw a deer running toward them and then it ran right into the door!! What kind of deer does that and who can say that a deer literally ran into their car within city limits? Only Kenney. Hopefully the guys working on the door today will be able to fix it allowing the window to roll down. If not, Kenney will die from heat exhaustion in the summer without a/c or a window.

Good thing the window was up because it would have been shattered if it was down

Kenney explaining the incident and Kyler's showing what the deer did to the truck

This is Kyler the night it happened. I'm not quite sure how this explains a deer hitting the truck, but he did it over and over.

We can't forget our cute little Damon!

Getting Big

I still can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving and 2011 is coming to an end! I also can't believe that I have 2 boys!! They keep getting bigger, and in a lot of ways I am so sad about that. I still wish I could get more sleep, but it is sad to think that they will never be little again. I am so glad that I get to stay home with them and see them grow up everyday.

My mom made the boys matching pj's for Halloween, but we didn't get them until after. However, they fit perfect!

Damon is no longer a newborn, even his sweet newborn cry is gone :(

Say 'Cheese'

I'm not sure which smile is more fake!

I know most of you know what this green stuff is, but we did not see any of it in our yard this year until November! Green Grass... who knew it would be missed so much?

This is not the best rendition of Kyler singing "If You're Happy and you Know it" but he loves singing songs that have actions. This is one of his favorites.

For some reason our kids have a hard time relaxing. Kyler was famous for his crunches and Damon is not any better. Although, Damon's crunches are different. His entire body rolls into a ball and he looks very tense. Kyler never looked quite as strained as Damon. This video doesn't show him trying to sit up very well, but most of the time that I put him in the bouncer he refuses to lay back! It's pretty funny.

Beautiful Boys

I know everyone thinks they have the cutest kids, and I am no different! I am so glad that I have such beautiful boys. If we ever have a girl she's is going to have some competition from her brothers, hopefully she will be very pretty herself. So far Damon has only been called a girl a handful of times!

Damon has been getting so much better during the day! Yay!! We are all so glad that he doesn't cry all the time anymore. I'm sure he is more happy than any of us. Now we just have to get him to sleep better.

Damon loves to grab blankets or material of any kind and eat it. I think it is so cute! His dark blue eyes are one of him most prominent features.

This huge smile happens every morning that Damon wakes up in our bed. For some reason he sleeps so much better in our bed, even if we are not in there with him. I, on the other hand, sleep horribly when he is in the bed with us. Go figure!

Kyler was amazed by the recent thunderstorm we had. We even got some hail. Kyler seems to be a lot like his dad and is very interested in the weather. I was a nice mom and let him play in the rain/mud. I have to restrain myself and allow Kyler to get dirty; it's really hard for me. Don't worry he got in the bathtub right after he was done playing.

I love my beautiful boys!!

There is nothing particularly interesting about this video; I just love sweet little baby voices.

Batman & Robin

My mom, aka Oma, is absolutely A-MAZ-ING! She made the boys their costumes all the way from Missouri without ever being able to try anything on either one of them! All she had was a couple measurements, and everything turned out perfect! Let me tell you, Batman & Robin were a hit! Everyone that saw them thought they were so adorable and no one ever had to ask what they were supposed to be. Of course I thought they were the cutest boys everywhere we went, but I'm pretty sure most people agreed with me!

I think Kyler had the best day of his life on Halloween. I bribed him to eat dinner by saying that he could dress-up as Batman and take his pumpkin to get candy. That is all I had to say; he has never eaten dinner so fast! He could not believe all he had to do was walk up to people and get candy. He caught on very fast to the whole concept and was not afraid of anyone, as long as they were handing out candy. About halfway through our short adventure he got distracted by all the candy he was gathering and could no longer keep walking. The temptation was too strong, and he had to eat the candy!

BATMAN
Kyler loves his Batman belt and cape. He has worn the belt to the store, but luckily I have been able to convince him to take off the cape.

ROBIN
Damon was such a good sport. he kept his mask on pretty well, a lot of the time it would slip down and his nose would be poking through an eye whole!

This was to best picture I was able to get of Batman & Robin together. Robin didn't really cooperate. I guess it's hard when you can't even sit up yet!

Kyler kept his mask on as long as he was getting candy. Once he knew there was no more candy he took it off.

I didn't even have to pose him for this.

Billy made the blog!! When we took his picture at the church party, he was teasing us saying he was going to make the blog. Well here it is!
Kyler pretty much looked like this for the first 30 mins of the party because he had no idea what was going on and why everyone looked so funny!

Our cute little Robin without his mask

The people from the newspaper in town wanted a picture of the boys, but they didn't have a camera on them. I can at least brag they were cute enough to make the paper!

I have now figured out why people do not usually let kids pick out their own candy! Kyler could NOT make a decision. I was teasing Kenney's mom later saying he got that from her. She has a hard time making decisions too!
