Happy Birthday!!

Kyler was not so sure about his first birthday party. He did not like everyone looking at him and singing. He doesn't look very happy in most of the pictures, but he loved his presents and the cupcakes!! He didn't get quite as messy as I thought he would, but towards the end he started dumping the cake into his lap rather than eating it. His favorite present was the big ball we got him. He got it a little early because we didn't wrap it, and he had the biggest smile on his face when he saw it. I took him for his 1 year check-up today and found out he is 21.8 lbs and 31.75 in. He is in the 27th percentile for weight and 93rd for height. Who would have thought, tall and skinny?

This toy made noise so it was a big hit too!

He never quite got the hang of opening presents, but he enjoyed it.

He offered cake to anyone, but he wasn't serious. He would take it right back.

This is about as messy as it got, but he loved every bite!

This was Kyler on his actual birthday. We made brownies, and he ate every crumb!! He didn't make any kind of mess with his brownie because he didn't want to waste one bite of sweetness.

This is the 'cake' we made. The lighting isn't very good, but it's an owl if you can't tell!

He was a little scared when everyone was singing to him.
He also needed help with the candles. Thanks Tesema!!

A couple times he got both hands up there, but he was pretty boring!

Happy Little Boy

I have been very blessed with a happy little boy. He is pretty easy going, and it doesn't take much to entertain him. The only time he gets fussy is when he's tired or hungry. The kid is like his parents, without sleep all of us are grumpy! Of course, he is the happiest when he is dirty and gross. I'm not sure if I was meant to have messy boys. I never got as dirty as he does, and now he wants to share his dirt with me.

One Cool Dude

I think he likes pickels!! Weirdo

The kid won't eat rice, but he'll eat a pickle?!?

'Helping' Mom & Dad in the garden

He took the dirt and threw it on himself. It's not any fun to sit and play nicely; we have throw the dirt and make sure it gets everywhere!!

I have a feeling, by the end of the summer, Kyler is going to think that

the only place he takes his clothes off is outside.

Kyler loves water not matter the place or the temperature. He thought it was so funny when I was dumping water on his head, but I had to 'laugh' too.

He loves to splash, but not just a little. He has to get the entire bathroom wet. I have to guard myself with a towel to keep from getting soaked!

Daddy's Little Helper

Kyler has become quite the little helper. If Daddy is outside, Kyler wants to be outside. He cries at the door or the window if he sees Kenney out there. Usually when Kenney is outside he is working on something, and Kyler wants to be in the middle of everything. No matter the job, he needs to be a part of it, regardless of how dirty the job may be.

This is Kyler helping Daddy in the garage. He has to make just as much noise!

One day Kenney went out to wash the car, and Kyler could not just stand back and watch. He had to be part of the action, even if it involved cold water! He went straight into the bath after this male bonding experience!

Kyler walked right through the hose water and laughed. What kid likes to be sprayed by cold water? Obviously my little boy.

He then had to crawl around on the driveway to ensure that he was wet everywhere

We couldn't keep that tongue in his mouth!

Oh the beginning of a dirty little boy
