Grandma & Grandpa Come to Dallas

Grandma and Grandpa had a conference in Dallas one weekend and thought it was probably the closest they would get to our part of Texas, so they invited us to join them after the conference was over. The boys and I drove to Dallas Friday afternoon and met them downtown at the hotel. We were able to spend a lot of time with them since the conference was over and played hard! We did a lot of walking since we were downtown (which none of us were used to doing), but we still had a lot of fun! Our museum pass from home got us into a museum that was close and staying in a hotel was excitement enough for the boys! I of course forgot to get my camera out much and didn't get great pictures, but I have a few! We were also able to visit with some other family in the area that I haven't seen in years and the boys have never met. It was a good and exhausting weekend!
We saved the boys from getting soaked in he water fountains by distracting them with this hill.  Damon yelled as he was running, "I'm King of the Mountain!"
Radley was not about the be left out!
Damon posing outside the museum.  We were all ready to go inside because it was extremely humid!
This guy was a trooper!  My Dad's Fitbit said that we walked over 5 miles this day, and Kyler walked it all!
It was a photo finish!

At the museum there was an exhibit to race different animals and athletes to see how you measured up! The boys of course picked the cheetah to race against first. Obviously they didn't have a chance, but Damon thinks he has super speed like a cheetah!

Next they thought they might have a better chance racing a T-Rex!

Radley then thought he could take on a T-Rex too!

It's A......

Well Baby Keys #4 is on the way. We (myself specifically) weren't sure if we should find out the gender of this baby. I was torn about wanting to be surprised and happy the day the baby came or wanting to be prepared, just in case it was a girl. I went back and forth for a while and was pretty determined that I wasn't going to find out. However, life got really complicated and a lot of things happened that were out of our control, so I decided that finding out if the baby was a boy or girl was something I could control. We had the ultrasound tech put the picture in an envelope. I picked the boys up from my friend's house and drove to meet Kenney at work during his lunch so we could open it. (We were going to wait til that evening, but the boys and I were going out of town that weekend so we had to do it before we left). Kenney wrote out BOY and GIRL for Kyler to see, and Kyler opened it and read it to us!

For a long time the boys all thought the baby was for sure a boy and that we needed more boys in our family, Damon especially. One night Kenney was talking to the boys, and he explained to them that they didn't have a sister. Damon then decided that he needed a sister! He has been convinced ever since that the baby would be a girl. I was shocked! I never thought he would want or admit that our baby could be a girl!

He read it accurately!!

Kyler read it right!  It's a GIRL!!!  Kenney didn't believe it at first and had to read it for himself!  We are all really excited and can't wait for this new little girl to join our family!

Happy Birthday Radley

I can't believe Radley is 2 already!  He has such a spunky and fun personality!  He is the most lovable and cuddly little boy.  He adores his big brothers and thinks he can do everything they do, and he sure does try!  He refuses to be left out of anything and LOVES to play.  He has the best deep laugh and loves to cheese for the camera.  We didn't do anything very exciting for his birthday, but he got his cup cakes and ice cream and blew out the candles.  That was enough for him!  We sure do love this little boy!!

Say Cheese

Look how sweet and innocent!
He had a little help opening presents!! Kyler and Damon each picked out a present for him.  Damon I think picked a present he wanted and said it was for Radley.  He has played with the Captain America he gave Radley more than Radley has played with it.  I don't think Radley cares because he got his very own Buzz Lightyear!
He loved having everyone sing to him.
He did well blowing out of the candles, but he had some help too!
Damon just couldn't keep his hands away!
Radley definitely didn't work quick enough for his brothers! He obviously needed help!
I think he likes this birthday stuff!

A Backyard!

The boys and I both have enjoyed playing in the backyard. It's not quite what we had hoped for because it has pieces of glass all over (someone had smashed a fish tank back there and left pieces of glass everywhere). There are also huge holes in the fence that Radley and Damon especially like to go through right on the corner of a busy street. However, it is really nice to have a place for the boys to get out that we don't have to drive to!!

They decided to play hockey one day.  They used basketballs and soccer balls for pucks and real sticks for hockey sticks, but they enjoyed it!  They also love being able to play outside without their shirts on.  They are Keys boys for sure!
They also sing songs and play 'music' and this metal vent that sticks up in the yard.

Kyler's spent one evening trying to hit a ball over the fence and get a home run. It was pretty windy outside and Kenney made him use a ball that would make it more difficult, but he got it!

Radley has been getting into dressing up and pretending with his brothers lately. It's pretty funny to watch him.

Moving & More

Life has been quite different lately. We moved to a new house and don't have the internet so I haven't been able to update the blog. We moved to a bigger house since Kenney accepted a job here, in a good school district for Kyler next year. However right before we moved, another job opportunity presented itself. We have since decided to move again (smart, we know).  We will be moving at the end of July, but I will then have internet at home again!!  Yay for me!!  Besides moving, not much has been happening.  Here are a few things we have been up to lately!

Taking down Radley's crib provided a new hang out spot in the house!
Damon has learned how to keep his mouth shut a little better during haircuts which makes everyone happier!
Hanging out at the park while Daddy had an interview.
Pizza picnic with friends.  We love going to play with our friends and will be so sad to leave everyone.

Radley would randomly find hats around the house and put them on to run around. I was shocked how long he would keep them on!

He is getting much better about hitting the ball off the T. He is a very determined little boy.
