November Visitors and More

We had some fun visitors at the end of November. The Payne's came a few days before Thanksgiving, and the Barney's came a few days after. The kids loved it! It was fun having all of them in our house and spending time with us. I didn't get many pictures, oops!

All of the kids have loved doing this!
Having fun around the fire pit with cousins.
Yes, this is their natural state!
A few shirts were burned during this adventure.
Can't believe she's so big!!
We also had a visit from the Barney's, and someone was smitten by baby Henry!
Such a happy baby.

The boys taught Mackenzie a new trick and thought it was hilarious!

Playing with Mom.

She loves playing like the big kids.

The kids thought it was pretty funny watching her walk around with the shopping cart, as she was learning to walk.

Acey

We finally found Damon a black and white puppy!! We've had a few people helping us look for dogs, and one of them pulled through and found one for us. It was a quick trip to Amarillo to pick up this little puppy, and we were able to make it work. Damon was so excited and she seemed like such a sweet little dog. She was from a litter of 11 so she was used to chaos, which was good.  We thought the dog was a boy with her name being Ace, but a little boy actually named her so 'he' was really a 'she'.  We kept calling her a boy with that name so we changed her name to Acey.  Her fully name was Acey Decy Keys, haha!

The first day she was super super calm and nervous.  She pretty much just laid in all of our laps and slept.  We stopped at Walmart for a few supplies, and Damon bought her a few toys with his own money.  It was really sweet.  She made it home without any accidents in the car so that was nice.  We thought things were going really well until we went to bed.  Since she is a puppy, she cannot be outside if it is less than 45 out there, and she has to sleep inside.  Therefore we have an indoor/outdoor dog.  Kenney and I both wanted an outdoor only dog, but no one can say we don't sacrifice for out kids!!

Acey has really struggled at night.  She whined a LOT the first few days.  Kenney and I hardly got any sleep, and we really regretted getting a dog.  We also got her the weekend before Thanksgiving where we would be gone hours at a time during cold weather, so we had to bring her with us, ugh!!  It has been an adjustment (mostly for Kenney and I).

However, she really is the cutest little puppy.  She has warmed up to all of us and seems to really like being with us.  She never gets mad at the kids for anything and doesn't bite (besides the playful puppy bite).  We have all fallen in love with her (but we can't wait for her to be outside, haha).

He literally could not have been happier!
She is so sweet!
Kenney held her while she got a shot, de-wormmer, and microchipped.  She never made a sound and was so good.
Love her white tipped tail!  Kenney says it's like a flashlight.
The whole family loves her!
Bentley loved holding her until she got scratched.
Literally puppy dog eyes!  She was so sad and nervous that first day.

Playing with his dog!
Checking each other out!

Owen absolutely loved her.  It was really funny watching them together.
Thinking she would take to the crate well, until it was dark and quiet, and she was alone!!!  We've had several very loud, long nights!
She loves Kenney.
Bringing her to the school so Damon can show his friends.
She fools you until the night comes.
And this is why we are suffering through the nights.  He loves, loves, loves his dog!

And yes, I love this dumb dog too!  I can't help it, even if I don't want to like her.
Yep, she likes to lick all of us now. I think she likes us too!

We stopped to see Kendra's (the PTA that works with Kenney) new baby and to show her Acey on our way home. It was fun to watch Acey run around for the first time.

Damon was loving spending with his puppy and running around with her.

I loved watching Mackenzie and the puppy together. It was super cute.

Kendra's little boy Owen (the one I used to watch) adored Acey. It was really cute to watch.

Fall Leaves

A yearly tradition the kids love is jumping into the leaves. Raking them and moving them to the side yard, not so much!

All 5 looking and smiling??  Yep, it happened!
I mean... how cute is she??
They all love jumping in the leaves.
They really like it from the tallest point possible.
Free Fall
Always wanting to pose for a picture.
Replenishing the pile so it has the most comfort.

She wasn't about to be left out!  I love this!

Bentley's 4th Birthday

She wanted a princess cake, so this is what we came up with.  I have never had more problems icing a cake than I did with this one.  It doesn't look anywhere close to what I wanted, but she was happy so that's all that matters.
So excited, but also nervous with everyone looking at her.
Lots of cousins and a few friends.
Blow!
Making sure to get all 4 candles.
Super excited about her presents.
She has the best facial expressions when she opens gifts.
I love how genuine and happy she is for all everything she got.
Smile Bentley!, Haha!
So excited for her $4.  One night at dinner after this she told the boys she would give each of them $1.  They asked her why she would give $1, and she told them, "because I'm rich!"
Love her expressions

She got 3 princess Barbies and couldn't be happier about it.
They have been playing with the doll house nonstop!
I didn't realize how much MJ would play with the house too!  It's been a lot of fun to watch them play together.
Even the boys got into it a little bit.

Happy Birthday to you!!

Even though she 'knew' she was getting a doll house, it was still so fun to watch her see it for the first time! I think she was more surprised than she thought she would be.
