Acey

We finally found Damon a black and white puppy!! We've had a few people helping us look for dogs, and one of them pulled through and found one for us. It was a quick trip to Amarillo to pick up this little puppy, and we were able to make it work. Damon was so excited and she seemed like such a sweet little dog. She was from a litter of 11 so she was used to chaos, which was good.  We thought the dog was a boy with her name being Ace, but a little boy actually named her so 'he' was really a 'she'.  We kept calling her a boy with that name so we changed her name to Acey.  Her fully name was Acey Decy Keys, haha!

The first day she was super super calm and nervous.  She pretty much just laid in all of our laps and slept.  We stopped at Walmart for a few supplies, and Damon bought her a few toys with his own money.  It was really sweet.  She made it home without any accidents in the car so that was nice.  We thought things were going really well until we went to bed.  Since she is a puppy, she cannot be outside if it is less than 45 out there, and she has to sleep inside.  Therefore we have an indoor/outdoor dog.  Kenney and I both wanted an outdoor only dog, but no one can say we don't sacrifice for out kids!!

Acey has really struggled at night.  She whined a LOT the first few days.  Kenney and I hardly got any sleep, and we really regretted getting a dog.  We also got her the weekend before Thanksgiving where we would be gone hours at a time during cold weather, so we had to bring her with us, ugh!!  It has been an adjustment (mostly for Kenney and I).

However, she really is the cutest little puppy.  She has warmed up to all of us and seems to really like being with us.  She never gets mad at the kids for anything and doesn't bite (besides the playful puppy bite).  We have all fallen in love with her (but we can't wait for her to be outside, haha).

He literally could not have been happier!
She is so sweet!
Kenney held her while she got a shot, de-wormmer, and microchipped.  She never made a sound and was so good.
Love her white tipped tail!  Kenney says it's like a flashlight.
The whole family loves her!
Bentley loved holding her until she got scratched.
Literally puppy dog eyes!  She was so sad and nervous that first day.

Playing with his dog!
Checking each other out!

Owen absolutely loved her.  It was really funny watching them together.
Thinking she would take to the crate well, until it was dark and quiet, and she was alone!!!  We've had several very loud, long nights!
She loves Kenney.
Bringing her to the school so Damon can show his friends.
She fools you until the night comes.
And this is why we are suffering through the nights.  He loves, loves, loves his dog!

And yes, I love this dumb dog too!  I can't help it, even if I don't want to like her.
Yep, she likes to lick all of us now. I think she likes us too!

We stopped to see Kendra's (the PTA that works with Kenney) new baby and to show her Acey on our way home. It was fun to watch Acey run around for the first time.

Damon was loving spending with his puppy and running around with her.

I loved watching Mackenzie and the puppy together. It was super cute.

Kendra's little boy Owen (the one I used to watch) adored Acey. It was really cute to watch.
