Smiles & Auntie Shandi

One of Kyler's biggest fan's and his public relations director, Auntie Shandi came for a visit. The day she arrived he smiled for the first time, at least a real smile. Auntie Shandi of course spoiled him to death and held him nonstop. She helped when we got his pictures taken and watched him while Kenney and I went out. It was a lot of fun to have her here and give Kyler another person to spit-up on.

We finally were able to get Kyler to smile for the camera. He always seemed to know when we had it out and never smiled. His smile is much better in person, but this is still really cute!

Kenney thinks he looks like a girl in this picture, but Shandi and I had a lot of fun taking pictures of him, as you can tell!

Auntie Shandi was so much fun, but we were all sad she had to go.

Notice the onesie. Papa Dude's family sent that to him.

Smiling at mom

This is how Kenney calms Kyler down. He puts things over his face. Don't worry he is supervised at all times!! Kenney said that horses and ostriches calm down with things over their heads, why not a crying baby?!?

More Visitors

People keep coming from all over to see this cute little boy! My family from Montana came through on Spring Break to see us. We had a good time watching movies and taking turns holding Kyler. The boys were extremely tech savvy and were able to set up the X-box to play on the projector. I am still impressed! We do not have pictures of everyone holding Kyler or at least good pictures.

My dad, Grandpa (I think that is what he will be called)

6'9" Uncle Taylor. We tried to get a cute picture of Kyler looking straight up, but Taylor's eyes were closed in all of them!

At exactly 4 weeks Kyler started to smile when he looked at me. We have been trying and trying to get it on video or take a picture, but the little stinker won't let us catch him. In this video we caught the end of a really big smile. It's not the best, but it's all we've got!

Kenney walked in on us sleeping upstairs one day, after we wore each other out.

The Many Faces of Kyler Dude

Kyler is definitely a loved little boy. So many people have come to visit and many more are making plans. Oma (my mom) came for a week from Missouri, and I am still sad that we forgot to take a picture of Kyler with his Oma. We'll get you next time Oma!! My family from Montana came next, and they are on their way back through this weekend to see him again. Nana (Kenney's mom) just left us today:( We hope to see her again in May. Auntie Shandi is coming next week and Aunt Kristen will be next. This boy is not hurting for attention!!

Looking at My Daddy

Nana took such good care of us while she was here. She held Kyler every chance she got, and he never complained. He even cried when she left! We can't wait to move closer to family so it doesn't have to be so long between visits.

My Little Afro Baby

This funny picture does not really look like Kyler, but he had just gotten done with his bath and we were playing with his hair. He has tons, obviously, but when it is wet it gets some body to it and it's easy to mess around with.
