Damon's Basketball

Damon's team was also the younger group of his division.  His team was still able to win against some of the bigger teams, but not all of them.  They played in the tournament and survived two rounds.  Damon had some great moments and enjoyed competing.

Got a nice outside shot!

There were a lot of collisions, and Damon improved by getting up quick and playing hard.

There were many of these opportunities this year, as Damon's speed keeps him ahead of the pack.

Kyler's Basketball

Kyler had a great season!  He always played well, but there were moments when he was exceptional!  The last game of the season proved it.  I wish so badly I had it recorded to show him just how good he played.  He broke the press all by himself, crossed over a couple kids to drive in for a layup.  It was awesome!!  He has such great ability; he just needs to think less and react.

He was as fast and quick as any kid he played against. He doesn't often make the move to steal a ball, but if he did it more, he would be successful.

Those long arms come in handy!

He is getting so much stronger and willing to go back up even in a crowded lane.

Radley's Basketball

Radley had a rough year in basketball. His team were the little guys in the divison, and he has a lot of smaller kids in his class anyway. He was lucky to get a big 4th grader to join their team. Garrison was a big help, and along with Radley, they pretty much carried the team. They had a lot of hard games, but never gave up and had great attitudes. Radley husseled and seemed to enjoy playing. He really liked having Kenney as his coach.
After getting demolished in the previous game, the boys were discussing who was 'double jointed' rather than complaining and moping about losing and losing bad.  They had a great comradery, and it was fun to see them work together.

Radley may have missed the shot, but his crossover as he dribbled the ball down was impressive!

Way to go Radley!!

Radley was pretty good about being aggressive without fouling.

See how big these kids were compared to our team?

Some of February

Some girls from Bentley's class on Valentine's Day
Damon with friends at the WAC getting to play because they were on UIL academic teams.
We were able to be with Kyler for his first time gong to the temple.  We didn't go with a group it was just the 3 of us.  Another girl and her dad were there too, but it was so special to be there with him.  I was also able to be a witness for the first time. Kyler really enjoyed it and felt the special spirit the temple has.

Yep we had to wear masks, thankfully we were at least able to go, but I won't be sad when the masks are done!

He's so cute and won't be this little much longer!
I took the older boys to the orthodontist and we went to eat at a 'real' restaurant, Olive Garden.  The boys were impressed with the food.  As we got up to leave, Damon said, "We just leave our mess here?"  He wasn't used to not bussing his own table.  I guess we need to take them out more often.  I do love spending time with just the two of them.
He has such a sweet heart when he's not mad.
Preparing for his days in the NFL
She ran right into the doorway and smacked her cheek!
Kyler has asked several times to read the scriptures with me. We started in the Book of Mormon, but now he has been wanting to read the Old Testament.  I will always take advantage of time he willingly asks to read scriptures.
Playing at a real park in Lubbock.
Poor girls didn't get the chance to go to many parks as toddlers like their brothers growing up in Lubbock.  Wellington doesn't have much to offer in that department.
The kid was enjoying his meal and has the biggest mouth, haha!

Here's Mackenzie trying to explain what happened when she ran into the doorway.

How could this video not have a permanent place on the blog?

She was super scared of the slides at first, but I knew if she would just try it, she would love it!  And she ended up having a blast!

Mackenzie was so excited to play football with all the kids.  She mocked the other kids and tried to do what they were doing.  She loved it; much like a brother she is so similar too!

These girls are quite the pair, haha!!

Snow Again!

We had another beautiful snow which the kids enjoyed. It's always sad when it doesn't last long, but we all enjoy it while it's here!

There were several of these videos.  They discovered the slowmo and loved it!!
