Our 20 minute photoshoot didn't turn out too shabby! We were running out of days so that I could make Christmas cards, and also running out of daylight. Can't complain about the results with such short notice.

Thanksgiving & More

We changed up our Thanksgiving for the first time in over 10 years!!  We didn't go to Childress and eat with all the Keys.  We had Thanksgiving dinner in Wellington.  It was great.  We drove to Childress later in the afternoon, but it was nice not taking food all the way into town and then staying basically the entire day.  The kids didn't seem to mind either.

She plays and talks so much like Damon!  It's really noticeable when she plays things that he used to play.

Thanksgiving at Oma & Papa Dude's

 

We left the boys in Childress to spend the night with the Payne boys and Bentley was really sad, so she stayed with Oma & Papa Dude; she loved her time with them.  Papa Dude took this cool video of the dress she picked out just for Thanksgiving.

Bentley's Birthday

A couple weeks ago we weren't sure we'd get another birthday with our sweet girl, so this one was a little extra special.  This girl is especially girly and proud of it.  She likes to write everyone's name and is constantly asking to play with a friend.  She loves being around other people.  We are so blessed that she is part of our family.

This is her to a T!  All dressed with her faux fur and lipstick for church!  The best part is that she does this for herself.  She doesn't like or ask for the attention she gets for using makeup or wearing certain clothes, she just likes them!

Now that my mom lives here so made my birthday dinner and cake for the first time in over 15 years!  It was awesome!

 

We didn't invite as many people as she probably wanted us to, but she had a great time with the friends that came!

Fall & More

Our backyard has some of the best!

The Wellington high school girls won the state cross country meet!  The girl on the left got first place at the meet and the rest of the team ran well enough to win the meet!  Kenney has worked with both of those girls.  We went to the welcoming/celebration party for the girls when they got back to Wellington.

 

Veteran's Day & Potty Training

Potty training is one of my worst nightmares, which is why I kinda kept putting it off. I finally quit buying diapers and forced myself to begin the process. Let's just say that I had every right to fear the coming days and weeks, which have now turned into months...

Mackenzie did great with the pee, for the most part, only a few accidents here and there.  Pooping has been horrible.  I'm not sure I want to remember all of the things she has done (pooping on both the kitchen and living room floors, not using the toilet for poop for over a month straight, etc.) but, this is a big but, she has never wet the bed!!  I'm still in shock about that one!!  So I guess there have been some victories, and we are saving over $30/month by not buying diapers, but I will always have sympathy for anyone having to potty train!!
 

These 3 showed their appreciation for our Vets!  Love that we have a school that encourages these kids to be patriotic.

The first time in 11+ years that we will not have diapers in our house.  There was a short break before Mackenzie was born, but Bentley was so hard to potty train I don't consider it a break at all!!

 

There was a lot of book reading by everyone that first week too!  Bentley even helped!

There was also a lot of running around in just panties, right after we finally got her to wear clothes!!

I never got a great video, but watching Mackenzie pull up her panties was hilarious!!  She would just around trying to get them over her butt!!  Often times there would be screaming too.

I didn't get much done the first week especially because she needed to be watched at all times.  This day we were playing games.  She was pretty entertaining to play a game with because we just played how she thought everyone else played.  Here she is reading a chance card in monopoly.  I read one before this and it said something about getting money because it was my birthday.  I think that's where she got her idea from, but honestly with her, there's no telling.

This was the best!!!  And so much Mackenzie's personality that knows no bounds!!
