Sisters

I think these girls are going to be great friends, as long as Mackenzie does everything Bentley wants her to, haha! She does love having a sister and already tries to pick out all of her clothes and accessories.   Aunt Sara sent them matching headbands this week. They are the first matching things the girls have, so it was fun to see them together.

Bentley always asks to comb and 'style' Mackenzie's hair after she takes a bath. The baby is far more patient than she should be!

Brotherly Love

The boys have adjusted to having a new baby around without skipping a beat! They never complain when I have to feed the baby or do anything for her. Even when we went to Lubbock and had to sit in the car while I fed her on the side of the road or in parking lots, they didn't complain. They are becoming more helpful around the house, if I only remembered to ask them more. And they love their new sister like crazy!! If only bedtime would get easier... I guess I'll take what I can get for now!

Loving their Sam's pizza.  I was shocked at how much and how fast these boys could eat.  It wasn't even dinner time and they scarfed it down like it was nothing!!  I can only imagine how much food they will consume in just a few years!

The boys, especially Damon, wanted Mackenzie to hang out in their room with them.  She laid on Damon's bed while they sorted through their Pokemon cards.

If she let him, he could cuddle with her all day.

It's hard to see but Damon lost one of his front teeth, and it looks so funny!!  He looks like someone punched him in the mouth.

It's quite entertaining to watch the boys play the Wii, Damon in particular. He CANNOT sit still. It's pretty funny.

Staying Occupied

The girls and I have had to make a few trips to Childress during the day recently and have been able to go hang out with some cousins that don't go to school. Bentley loves getting out of the house, and I don't blame her. I'm pretty boring. It's nice for me to have someone to talk to as well!

Eggs

We're finally getting eggs!! It has been exciting and fun for all of us to get eggs. The kids love being able to go gather and find the eggs. The chickens haven't always laid their eggs in the coop, so it was fun for the kids to do a real egg hunt! We are getting brown eggs, white eggs, and a different shade of brown speckled eggs. There is a definite color difference once the eggs are cracked too. I was surprised they tasted so much different as well. We are really hoping the novelty doesn't wear off for any of us!

This was the fate of our first egg!  Let's just say we weren't surprised!

We got a monster egg one day and were joking that the big egg is the kids' cousin Logan and the small egg is Mackenzie.  Logan was born 2 weeks after Mackenzie and was 10lbs 10oz.  He makes Mackenzie look so tiny!

It has been so nice getting fresh eggs!

1 Month and Growin

MJ Newborn Photos

I'm no professional photographer, but I attempted to take some newborn photos of Mackenzie before she gets too big. Unfortunately, I waited too long because it's supposed to happen by 10 days of life, and we were at about 24 days in, but overall I'm as pleased as I can be with my limited knowledge and experience!!

This is her special animal from Oma & Papa Dude; it's a donkey because of Grandaddy Pierce.

These pictures I want to add something written on the picture like "of royal birth" or something similar.
