A New Year & Grandma

A few days before the New Year, Grandma came for a visit and to help out with the new baby. The boys were excited to see her and Bentley was happy to have someone spoil her again! We didn't do much celebrating for New Year's (I went to bed at 10:30). The boys actually stayed up later than me! However the next night we drank our sparkling juice. The kids seemed to really like drinking out of the special glasses.

We had a great visit with Grandma.  She brought presents which made her awesome to begin with.  She played games with everyone (the same ones over and over and over), held the baby, read books, colored, played in the snow, and took each of the kids on a Grandma Date!  They all loved their individual time with her and are still talking about it.  Bentley was a little bit difficult as Grandma's time was coming to an end.  Her life had been turned upside down ever since Oma arrived almost a month before and then a new baby arrived, the boys were out of school, we had Christmas, and then Grandma came.  We had no routine to speak of, and it was wearing on all of us, especially Bentley.  She was pretty ornery and started to tell us 'no' quite frequently.  Hopefully, things will get better as things calm down, and that Grandma will still want to come visit another time!

Cheers!
"Cheers me too!"
Here's to a Happy New Year!!

They thought they were so cool that they got to drink out of real glasses!

Playing games with Grandma and Legos that Uncle T got them.

She got pretty mad while we were taking pictures with everyone else and she had to be put down in the chair.

Yep, I was there too!
