Kyler's 7th Grade Basketball

Kyler grew so much this year in basketball.  It started off rough with not knowing his place on the team to because such a force!  He progressed so much, and it was fun to watch.  He has so much ability and when we just reacts, rather than thinks, he's amazing!  I didn't get any still pictures, but I got a lot of videos.  His team won every district game and only lost 2 games all season.

I love it when he just takes a rebound and goes straight down the court!

Kyler had so many layup opportunities in this games, but for whatever reason, he couldn't make any of them!!

Great play and missed layup

My favorite part of the game is the tip, and I think Kyler is getting there too.

One of many blocks

He really does have much better ball handling skills than he realizes.

Kyler likes to move away from people, so he's great for people driving in to create space for them.

He's much quicker than most post players.

Such a great pass!

Those long arms throw so many people off.  They don't realize just how far his reach is.

Get it and go!!

He makes it look so easy!

Such a great block on the best player on the other team.

This was his best game of the season.  They played a hard team and lost for the first time.  Kyler had never played so hard and aggressive.  It was amazing to watch and heartbreaking at the end for him.

He couldn't finish this one, but his ability to clear the court is awesome!

It has taken years for Kyler to get this aggressive, and it's amazing to watch!

This was such a highlight for me and him, but it was amazing to see him work so hard and get rewarded.  He has so much potential and ability in him, but when he is able to see himself do things like this, it is AWESOME!!

By the last game, Kyler had learned how to take some contact and not shy away.  He got stronger and more resilient.

I love how willing my boys are to pass the ball.  It's never about just them.  They are great team players.

Look at all that contact!!

This was an amazing play.  The aggression and determination he showed was new for him.  I loved watching him grow so much!!

Things Happening in February

Usually not too much happens in February besides basketball, but of course there was plenty to keep us busy besides basketball.  Here are just a few of the things keeping us going!

College readiness Monday at school
Valentine's at school
I accidentally preheated my pot with a bag of beans in it. Luckily I was able to get it clean again!  It was like magic!!  Thank you YouTube!

This dishwasher has never been so clean!
She made herself a throne

Bentley and Emma helping Papa peel potatoes

Kendra's(the PTA that works with Kenney) son hungout with Mackenzie and I for a couple days just before Valentine's Day, and he sent her some flowers, a balloon, and a sloth.  She was so excited and LOVES them!!
VDay Dance and church
I guess Mackenzie had on the wrong pants because her little crack was showing all night, haha!
I wonder who influenced this outfit choice...
Cold, tired, and moody!! Can't wait for the teenage years...
A bad storm blew in so we hung out in the cellar for a bit
The hail was loud but not damaging thankfully.
Crazy sock day, this was her vision.

Mackenzie makes video games extra fun!

Damon can be really fun to play with, if he wants to, and the girls are lucky to have him!

Cellar life!  Papa Dude makes it pretty comfortable with games and stuff, and Oma always has snacks.

3D Printers

The boys had a young men's activity at Brother Scott Worthington's house one week, and he told them, if they would take some time and come learn about 3D printing, he would give them a printer.  Well, Kenney was just as interested, so they spent several hours one Saturday at his house learning and watching.  They came home with 3 3D printers and tons of extra stuff to help them run.  We now have them step up in the boys room.  It's pretty incredible!

Damon's First Temple Trip

Since Damon turns 12 this year, he was able to start going to the temple with the youth. He was really excited and enjoyed going. He really liked the feeling he felt in the temple. We love being in the temple with our youth, and thanks to the help of Oma & Papa Dude, they make it much easier for us!

Not a big group, that seems to be the way youth temple trips go for our branch, but it was worth it!

At Costco, Mackenzie found a way to more efficiently eat her ice cream, haha!
