Playing in the Snow

Kyler was so excited to get to play in the snow. He was even more excited that Uncle Logan went out to play with him. Daddy made it fun by trying to use some plastic to give the boys a ride. Grandma came out too!

Things started off a little rough when some ice was accidentally thrown at Kyler, but he was having so much fun he got over it pretty quick.
Logan throwing a snowball right towards me!
Damon took a little while to warm up to the cold and the snow, but he had fun eventually.  However he didn't last very long.
It's always fun throwing snow at Logan!
Kyler kept launching himself into the big pile of snow.
He really did have a lot of fun!
Grandma finding icicles for Damon to try and use as swords.  He didn't understand how fragile they were.
Our improvised sled.  Grammie didn't have any sleds at her house, but she found some plastic!
Kyler had a blast being pulled around!
Grandma found him a big icicle.
A neighbor kid came out and let the boys drive his new remote controlled truck.  Damon loved it!!
Snowball fun!
Here is the 'sledding' in action.  Damon apparently took a ride too, but I was inside at the time.  He wouldn't get back on once I was out there.

Grandpa and Grandma with the boys!

The best of Grammie and the boys!
Missing Shandi, but it was fun for Haley to be there and have her play with the boys.

Christmas 2014

We spent Christmas in Utah this year because the wedding was so close, and we were able to spend it with family that we don't get to see very often. Grandma and Grandpa Hill along with Aunt Haley (who has been on a mission and had never met Radley) and Uncles Taylor, Colin, Logan and Brenn met us in Logan, UT at my Grammie's house. We were able to spend a few days together playing some games, eating some food and catching up. The boys had fun seeing everyone and had a blast with Christmas. It was fun to see their faces light up and excitement as they opened presents. After they finished opening presents Kyler said, "We got a lot of presents!" Thankfully, a lot of our Christmas was supplemented by grandparents, but we fit all of our presents in one box! I am so grateful that our boys were happy and realized they got a lot for Christmas.

This was taken at Kenney's Grandparent's retirement community.  Radley was the first to notice Santa, but not too keen on getting close!
Our first screaming baby Santa picture!
Kyler is still a little nervous.
I was absolutely floored that Damon sat on his lap.  I don't know if it was the candy cane or what, but he didn't cry or scream.  He wasn't exactly comfortable, but this is HUGE progress!
Christmas Jammies!  We were also able to go to the Langford Christmas Eve Party in Springville.  I hadn't seen most of Susanne's family in a long time and hardly any of them had ever seen our boys.  There was a Bingo/White Elephant game where we all got a present, and Radley mostly enjoyed the M&Ms.  The boys got dressed in their jammies before getting into the car and driving to Logan.
There was no snow on the ground when we got to Utah, at the beginning of our trip.  All the snow arrived Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  We got a white Christmas after all!
Looking at all the presents!
So amazed at the presents under the tree they didn't notice their stockings or Santa gifts!
Damon loves cars!
Kyler already drawing on his Boogie Board.  It's a picture of him and Logan.
This little guy loved opening gifts, but didn't really care about what was inside.  He just wanted the candy!
This little man got really sick the night before Christmas.  We almost had to take him to the ER because he couldn't breathe and had a high fever.  Luckily, he seemed better in the morning and was able to participate in presents, but he wasn't quite as energetic as usual.
Spiderman!
Someone got into the chocolate!

There is nothing particularly interesting or exciting about his video, but I thought the grandma's would enjoy it!

Same goes for this video.  This is just the boys opening presents.

Savanna & Kevin's Wedding

The big day and reason for coming to Utah happened on Dec 23, 2014!! The boys talked about going to Savanna's wedding the whole way to Utah and the whole time we were there. As many times as we talked about the wedding and the pretty dress Savanna would wear, etc., the boys never understood what the wedding actually was! They were confused and asked several times after it was over when we would be going to Savanna's wedding, but they looked so cute in their bow-ties! I also didn't take many pictures of the wedding stuff, but I stole some pictures from Savanna's facebook page! As long as the trip was, we were happy to be there to celebrate with Savanna and Kevin and are so excited for them!!

The hot chocolate bar was a hit!
Savanna with some of her best friends from Texas.
This is the boys at the wedding dinner.  They were the only kids there, and we were scared to death because there were nice place settings and not much for little boys to do.  Luckily we didn't have any trouble with them, and they behaved until end!
Waiting for the Bride and Groom!
Just too cute!
Getting ready for the reception with some cousins.  We had much better success here than we did at the reception taking pictures.
Say Cheese!
How many people does it take to get 12 kids ready to take a picture with Kevin and Savanna?
The best we could do!
Playing on the balcony at the reception.
Headed up for a game of duck-duck-goose!
Such a handsome guy!
He must get it from his Daddy!
Two peas in a pod.  These guys are always together!
Kyler did not want to get a picture with Savanna, but I wanted at least one of our kids with her!
They all love Aunt Kacy!

Kyler was absolutely hilarious on the dance floor! He was everywhere! He was break dancing and getting on the floor, he was shaking his little butt, he was just a ham! He was in he middle dancing by himself with everyone watching at one point! It was so fun to watch. He came up to me after a lot more people started to dance and said, "Mom there is not enough room for me to dance here. We need to go somewhere with more room." He was taking it seriously. When we came home, I was telling my Nanny about it, and said he was being so funny. Kyler then looked at me and said, "I wasn't being funny Mom. I was being cool." Haha!! He was proud of his dancing. I just wish we got better video of it.

Fun and Friends in Utah

We made the long journey to Utah for Savanna's (Kenney's sister) wedding. Since the wedding was on Dec. 23 we also stayed for Christmas. We decided since we were making the trip, we wanted to see as many people as possible. We were able to stay with some of my old roommates and best friends, Kristen and Korinne. We saw Kenney's cousin Nephi and his wife Lindsey and their 3 boys who are almost the exact ages of our boys. We saw Kenney's grandparents and our friends the Ropers the next day. I forgot to take a picture, but Ezra Roper owns a bounce house business and blew up one the of bounce houses in their backyard for the kids to play with. They had a blast and it wasn't too cold either. Some friends (the Torgrimson's) drove in from Central Utah to meet us at a museum so we could visit with them. That evening we went out to eat with the Davis family. It is always fun to catch up with them! We went to church on Christmas Sunday to a singles ward meaning everyone in the congregation were between the ages of 18 and 30. Needless to say, our boys were the only kids. They did surprisingly well. We had such a fun time seeing all of our friends and family while we were there. A huge thanks to Kristen and Korinne for letting the Keys party of 5 stay at their house!

It only took a matter of one hour for our freshly cleaned and vacuumed car to be destroyed.  And yes, Kyler refused to wear a shirt.  I still don't understand why.
There was stuff everywhere, blankets, emptied backpacks, etc.  It was a huge mess.
These boys warmed up so quickly to Korinne (and Kristen).  They loved being at their house!

There was such a love/hate relationship with Millie (the dog).  One second they are happy and petting the dog...

And then they are screaming.  Actually it was just Radley and Damon that had problems with Millie.  It was so funny to watch Radley grunt and point at her.

Kristen and Korinne were such good sports for letting us stay at their place.  Damon would ask everyday when we left if and when we would go back to Fistens aka Kristen's house.  It was really nice to have a place to go and get some downtime and rest!

Not only was there a dog, but they had Legos and a Roku.  The boys were in Heaven!

We spent a morning with Kenney's Grandma & Grandpa.  They showed us around their new home and took us out for lunch.  Kyler was practicing his picture taking skills with this picture.

And this one

Damon was also taking pictures.

Kyler loved Chuck-A-Rama, can you tell?

Going to and from different places was usually the only time Radley got naps.  He did this a couple times in the car to put himself to sleep.  Poor guy was pretty happy for being off schedule so much.

Our museum pass from Lubbock also worked in Utah, so we were able to go to a couple kid museums while we were there.  The Museum of Natural Curiosity was a lot of fun.  They boys never get this excited to help me do laundry!

Radley especially loved being able to touch buttons and have things his size.

There were all kinds of things to climb on and cool rope bridges in the air.  I went through with Radley and Damon at first and they both screamed.  So it was not a pleasant or easy experience for me trying to walk holding both of them across a rope bridge.  However, when Damon went with Kenney he actually walked and enjoyed himself.  I'm just glad he had a good time, even though it was miserable with me.

Trapped in the bank vault!

Finding out what's inside.

Running through the secret tunnel.

Mom take our picture!

Making sand art.

Radley's got the cheese face down!

Getting 85mph wind blown on them!

Our attempt at taking a picture.

The Museum of Ancient Life had some pretty cool tunnels.

Radlley liked them!

They thought the dinosaurs were pretty cool.

I love how he just smiles when he wants his picture taken.

Building their own dinosaur.

They were also impressed with this giant shark.  However, Damon was a little scared.

I was happy to be able to go to In-and-Out while we were in Utah.  I love that place.

They gave us some stickers at In-and-Out.  Can you guess which one is Damon's and which one's Kyler's?  I know there is a difference in age, but there is also a big personality difference.  Kyler's is on the right, if you didn't guess.

Radley also learned how to go down the stairs.  He quiet enjoyed the stairs in every house we went to.
