Rolling Over

Well, I can no longer leave Kyler on a bed without watching him. He has started moving all over the place!! He is rolling over and scooting across the bed and the floor. He was just getting really good about laying down and putting himself to sleep, but since he has figured out how to move, he can't stay still long enough to fall asleep!


Kyler has also decided that he likes to play!! It is so much fun to watch him interact with us. He loves toys, but his favorites are Mom and Dad's fingers. He bites down hard too (with his gums of course)! I am really hoping he is not teething, but who knows.

Papa Dude & Aunt Sara

Papa Dude and Aunt Sara came down to Texas for a very quick visit to drop off some furniture for us. My mom went to an auction and got us 2 couches (only 3 months old), a huge, basically new recliner, a bedroom set (dresser w/mirror, chest of drawers, bed frame, & 2 nightstands), 2 end tables, a kitchen table w/ 4 chairs, and some other odds and ends for about $300!!! My mom is amazing! Some friends in Missouri even gave us a super nice crib for Kyler. We are very blessed. Now all we need is a house to put all of it in!!

We had a great time with Papa Dude and Aunt Sara. They were able to give Kyler tons of attention and take lots of pictures, of course. It was sad that the trip was so quick, but hopefully the whole family can come down when we get a house. Thanks for getting and delivering the stuff!!

I think Kyler has tried on all of my family members' glasses!! These are Sara's and the next two are Papa Dude's. Kenney doesn't quiet grasp the humor in these pictures, but I think they are cute!

The Lake

Kyler has been on a plane, to 8 states, drove across the country, and has now been to the lake!! He has done a lot in his short 3 months! We went to Quartz Mountain Lake in Oklahoma with some of Kenney's family. It was at least 100 degrees the whole time. Kyler was hot, sweaty, sandy and super happy!! The only thing he was not sure about was the cold water. He has never been a fan of cold hands or anything cold on his skin. He got used to the water and liked it for a few minutes. I looked for some swim shorts, but they don't make them for his size or swim diapers for that matter. We should have just let him skinny dip rather than have shorts fall off him the whole time!!

Lots of Talking

Kyler is changing by the day now! It is crazy. To us he doesn't look different, maybe a little bigger, but he has not changed in the face much at all. He now likes to play with toys, grab blankets and other cloth to put in his mouth and is much more vocal!! He constantly wants to lift his head so he is doing crunches all the time. It's pretty funny. As you can see in one of the video clips, he does not really like being on his tummy. He can hold his head up much better than he used to when he is on his tummy, but he still doesn't like it much. He hasn't lost any of his hair, and it is getting longer. He needs a haircut; we just can't bring ourselves to do it.

We are still homeless at the moment. We are trying to find a place to live, but have been unsuccessful. It has been very nice of Kenney's family to let us stay in there place, especially Keyan because we have kicked him out of his room!! Kyler loves his Nana and Papa and aunts and uncles here in Texas, but we really miss everyone else.

We have had some pretty good stroms in Childress, much to Kenney's delight. He loves to sit on the porch and watch the cloulds and lightning. These are some of the sky shots he recently took.

Everything's New

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. To be perfectly honest, things have been absolutely crazy since the day Kyler was born. Kyler has already been to at least 7 states since he's been born. Kyler has been on an airplane and spent about 80 hours in the car!! He been to Texas and back and then to Texas again. Oh yeah, we have moved to Texas! So now we have a new baby, new car, new job and all we need is a new house!

Kyler is doing great and growing. At his two month appointment he got 3 shots, weighed 12lbs and was 24 inches long. Yes, he is still a little skinny, but the doctor says he's right on track! He has been a super traveler and loves being outside. He has also began to talk incessantly while moving constantly. Most of this post is pictures because that is what everyone wants to see.

Kenney's sister Tamra got married on May 21st. We were all part of the wedding. This is Kyler's cousin Tyce and his Uncle Brock.

This is the day that Kyler was blessed at church.
