After the Ferry ride and the water balloon fight, we all got ready to go to the Rainforest Cafe. We tried to go earlier in the week, but it was crazy busy! This time we made reservations so it was much faster. The kids had a great time looking around and soaking in the atmosphere. We all had a great time. Mackenzie loved eating all of our food! We went to the beach one more time before heading back and packing all of our stuff to leave the next morning. I think we all decided we are beach people and could spend most of our time there! It was a great week, and we're excited for our next beach trip!!
After one of the hurricanes killed a lot of big trees, statues were carved from the stumps. We drove by and saw a couple of them.

Radley had to stand on his chair and beat his chest while they sang Happy Birthday to him. He was pretty uncertain about the whole thing.

The Last Time at the Beach

She never stayed out of the water for very long.
Ever the fisherman while we were there, Robbie put plenty of effort into. He was able to catch quite a few catfish.

The last couple days in Galveston we spent a lot of time together doing all sorts of activities. We stayed busy and had tons of fun, but we were all tired!
One of the highlights of the trip for Bentley was when Shandi shared her pink hair dye. Zadi and Shandi helped to make Bentley have mermaid hair, and she couldn't be happier!
I showed her a picture on the box with the ends dyed or a few chunky streaks and asked her which one she wanted. Of course she didn't pick either of those; she picked the one with the entire head dyed pink.

Ta-da! It's not nearly as pink as any of us thought it would be, but she loved it!! I think her hair needed to be lighter for it to show better.
She was super happy with it! But she was really sad when the pink was gone. Maybe we'll have to try again next summer!

Beach Bum
Sara and Robbie made sure that our kids were hydrated by constantly giving them Gatorade or Yahoo to drink!! The kids loved it!
That night the guys went fishing. Unfortunately, they didn't have much luck from the shore either. The fishing was a disappointment all around this time.

Papa didn't get much of a break while we were together. There was usually more than one or two kids on his lap at a time!
The Ferry The last morning we were there we drove to the opposite side of the island to ride on the ferry, hoping to see some dolphins. The kids had a blast feeding the sea gulls and loved the ferry ride. We saw some dolphins, not super close, but we did see some. Thankfully we went in the morning, but it was HOTTTTT!!
