Full Beach Day

On Wednesday we had a FULL day! Mackenzie made sure that I was going to enjoy the entire day by waking me up around 6am. We went up to the top deck to watch the sunrise and try to keep from waking everyone else up. Then we had family pictures. After that we had a great afternoon at the beach.  Unfortunately, most of our immediate family ended up getting sunburned.

Jason's parents, Mammy and Pawpaw came to visit while all of us were together. It was fun having them around for a visit. Dinner was great and then we tired to go seashell hunting.  The flooding from the storms kept us from driving to the beaches that were the best for sand dollars, shark teeth, and shells, but we made the most of it.  The guys also had to push out a car that was stuck because the guy thought he could make it through a giant deep puddle!  We didn't have much luck in the shell department, but it was a good effort.

Sunrise
It was still pretty cloudy otherwise I think there would have been more colors.

She sure was happy about the sunrise
The day a lot of us got burned, Emma was no exception
Hanging in the shade, smart girl!

Not afraid of the water, even a little bit.

That humidity gave her hair some curl.

I witnessed the sunrise and sunset that day.
Hunting for seashells turned into water gathering.  Of course they couldn't stay out of the water.

Even beach houses have pillars??? Say what???
