First Hunt of the Season

This weekend we went to an Easter egg hunt put on by the Lubbock Arboretum. The boys were so excited to get some eggs! There were also some games to play before the hunt began, but they weren't really into the games. They wanted eggs!! Damon told us he was going to get blue eggs and blue eggs he got!! There were 1000s of eggs, and they were ready!

Damon wouldn't put his head in the whole, but I have two little cuties!
Bunny bowling
Radley liked this game.  He definitely knows how to throw a ball.
In this game they were to balance an egg on a spoon and race around a cone.  Damon refused to participate; Kyler was too concentrated on the egg; and Radley had no idea what was going on!
Kyler was going to make sure that egg didn't fall off!
Radley looking around trying to figure out what he was supposed to be doing.
However, he thoroughly enjoyed his prize and didn't have to be told how to eat it!
Scoping out the eggs.   Kenney told them to run out to the middle of the field and start picking up eggs.  Damon told us he was going to get 6 eggs, and Kyler said he was going to get 1000 eggs!  Radley again had no idea what was going on, but he knew what eggs were!
And they're off....
Kyler was picking up as many eggs as he could; where as Damon was only picking up blue eggs!
Radley just cried and refused to pick up any eggs.  He was really scared with everyone running around!
Damon's blue eggs!
Kyler's overflowing bucket.  He was kind enough to share with Radley who ended up only getting about 3 eggs!
Damon staring someone down.  We aren't sure who or what he was looking at, but his face is pretty funny!
Three happy little boys!!

March Madness

Everyday is madness around our house, but it's especially fitting with the basketball tournament and all the games we've been watching! It has been really nice outside, so we have spent much more time getting out and enjoying the sun! We love the spring here because it is cool in the morning and not hot yet!! Hopefully soon, fingers crossed, we'll have a real yard soon!

We found out one day that Dairy Queen was giving out free ice cream cones, so of course we had to go get one.  Radley made a mess but sure was happy.  Kyler flirted with the girl handing them out and she dipped his in chocolate!!  It was a good day!
Radley loves doing everything his big brothers do, including wearing underwear!!  Most days he has to wear underwear over his diaper.  It's pretty cute watching him run around in underwear!
These boys love to watch basketball!  Kenney and I both watch it too, so it has become a normal thing around here this month with the NCAA tournament going.  They pick teams based on who's winning the game at the moment or the jersey colors, and they cheer for their teams pretty well.  Even Radley knows when to cheer!  It's really fun to watch them.
The boys wore these creature power suits for over 5 days straight after the birthday party.  The only took them off to go to church and to take a bath.  As soon as we got home from church or put on pjs, the power suits went back on.  I think people were wondering if I ever made them change clothes!  Radley just doesn't like to wear clothes unless he has to!
Seriously, they love these suits!
I almost got a good picture of them.
Radley just posing away!

One day at a friend's house Radley and a little girl around his age were playing so cute on the trampoline. They were making each other laugh, and it was adorable.

This is Radley watching basketball. He yells, "Go" most of the time and claps. He also points out every made and missed shot. It's pretty funny to watch. Sorry the video is so dark we just didn't want to ruin the moment.

Kyler's Birthday Party

We finally broke down and threw Kyler a birthday party! It was fun to see him so excited and having fun with his friends, but man, parties are a lot of work!! We didn't even do a whole lot, but there was a lot to get ready and plan. We decided to do a Wild Kratts party (it's the boys' favorite cartoon). We played a few games: pin the creature disc on Chris, 3-legged races, and had a pinata. Kenney made the pinata, and I forgot to take a picture of it. However there is a video of Kyler and Radley both hitting it. It was one sturdy pinata!! It took a lot of hits to break it. The picture and video taking were not the best during the party because we were both really distracted with all the kids and things to do, but Kyler had a great time!

Picking a creature disc to pin on Chris.
Kyler pinning on the disc.  He got so mad at himself about this game.  He wanted it to be perfect.  That was really disappointing to him, but he still had fun!
My amazing and talented friend made this poster for us.  It is now hanging in the boys' room with Kyler's creature disc in it's perfect location!
I was surprised Damon let us blindfold him.  He was a good sport!
Ready for the cupcakes!
Most of the party Radley was eating.  He was either sitting down eating snacks, drinking his drink, or eating a cupcake.
Presents!!!!
Creature power suits from Oma & Papa Dude!!!!
The best we could get.
Checking out a new toy.
Wild Kratt cupcakes
These are the only videos I got at the party, but you can see Kyler and Radley both hit the pinata.

We obviously did not discuss strategy with Kyler before the race began. He just took off and left his partner behind!

Kyler Turns 5

I can't believe Kyler Dude is 5!!! Wow!! He has been counting down the days since he realized it was March! It was fun for him to really understand his birthday and get so excited about it. I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, and he said, "I want a blowup castle." Well that is never going to happen so he is just going to have to wait on that one!! However, he had a great day and is looking forward to his birthday party (first official party with friends!!)

He's much more excited than it seems.  This is Kyler at his annual Chick-fil-a dinner from Oma & Papa Dude.  He had been waiting to go for days!!  He took the money from me and ordered all the food then paid for it.

Radley shoving a cupcake in his mouth.  He loved this birthday stuff as much as Kyler!

One of Kyler's new shirts!

He was super excited about this new game!  He loves playing board games now!

One family came over for Kyler's ice cream and candles on his official birthday. It was funny seeing him blow out the candles because he had such a hard time! Radley was also pretty funny because he had no idea what was going on!! Damon has also been super excited for Kyler's birthday all week!

Nana & Papa's and Bobcat Basketball

During Kenney's break between clinical rotations we went to check on our rent house, visit family and watch Kaden play some basketball games! We had fun seeing as many people as we could in the couple days we were there. The boys also loved being able to go to the games. We went to one game in Canyon on our way home which they won. Later in the week they went to the regional tournament in Midland. The boys loved the tournament more than anyone! They got to play with cousins, go to a hotel, watch basketball games, and had an absolute blast!
Kyler is getting so ready to turn 5!!  He showed Kenney, "Look Dad this is almost 5 and this is all the way 5."  Notice his thumb, it's almost straight!
How cute is Radley?  He is quite the climber too.  Not as good as Damon, but he's getting there
Future Edward Jones Rep, maybe, but they had fun checking out Papa's new office.  We don't even have a desktop computer so I don't know who taught him how to use a mouse, but he knows!
Kaden at his sendoff for the playoff game!
This was the end of the first round in the Regional Tournament.  They played really well, and our boys were super excited because they got to stay in a hotel for the first time since they can remember!  It was an exciting night for everyone!!

Kyler was full of Bobcat pride during the championship game.  He got some face paint to show his loyalty!
The finished product!  I was surprised how well the boys actually watched the games.  Damon especially loved the games.  He would watch Kaden like a hawk.  He knew every time Kaden scored or when he was sitting on the bench (which didn't happen often, but Damon pointed it out to me every time), etc.  He was so excited during every game!!
Kaden cutting down his portion of the net after they won the game and moved on to the state tournament!!

It was fun to see everyone get so excited to go to state!!

Damon decided to come up with his own game after the basketball game was over. He thought jumping off a railing that was taller than him onto a concrete floor would be fun. This jump wasn't as impressive as the one before, but we are good parents and made him stop after this one! After the video of course!

Never Ending Winter

This has been one snowy winter for us. I can't believe how much snow we have gotten. It's the beginning of March, and we still keep getting snow! However in between the snow storms it would get in the 80s or close to it, so we are very confused about what season it should be right now. We don't mind the snow or the 80s; we just wish it would make up it's mind!!

The flakes this day were HUGE!
I love it when the trees look like this.
We were headed out of town for "Spring Break", and this is what we woke up to.  Luckily the roads were perfectly clear once we left Lubbock.
I can't say I've seen Texas look like this very many times.  It is so quiet and peaceful when it gets like this because everyone stays inside (especially on a Sunday morning).
