Keys Reunion Day 1: Dance

We all gathered for dinner and then headed to Enda and Richie's for a dance. Everyone got up and danced! The kids seemed to love it and didn't want it to end. The glow sticks didn't light up as much as I thought, but they all had fun with them.

I don't know why these pictures won't flip, but Diana and Cary Shane had homemade which the kids really liked!
The dry ice was a huge hit!
Bentley wanted to dance to every song, but she wanted to be held.
Lots of people!!  It was so nice to use Richie's outdoor patio!
It was amazing how quick all of us filled every space!
I loved watching all the kids dance and have fun!
Avery trying to teach Kyler how to dance with a partner.
Papa and Ashlyn dancing.
The kids making up their own dance.
Bentley and Mom (the faster the better for that girl!)
With all the kids it was hard for the adults to dance, but everyone got a turn eventually.
Kevin and Shayla
Snack time!
Superman!
There was a beautiful full moon that night.
I love this girl!!
Teaching the kids YMCA
Dancing with glow sticks.
Kyler's break dancing

All the kid requested You're Welcome from Moana.

Almost everyone was line dancing.  The kids made up their own version.

Keys Reunion Day 1: Pioneer Park

Kenney and I were in charge of organizing this year's Keys Family Reunion. We didn't get much feed back about doing the reunion in a different location, so we just planned to do it in Childress. We started out at Pioneer Park and let all the kids play in the water. It was great! Everyone seemed to have a really good time. We thought it would be best to have lunch while we were all there, but someone forgot to grab the lighter fluid to warm up the coals for roasting hot dogs. Rather than waiting to get the lighter fluid and get the coals going, we all headed to our house for lunch! (Thank goodness we cleaned up the house that morning) It worked out perfect. There was a lot of sand in the house, but the kids all had fun and Kenney was able to show off his sound system!!

Kenney finding some creatures with Tyce and Brek.
Bentley splashing around.
Emma getting some sun.
Jordyn playing in the sand.
Boys trying to catch minnows down by the bridge.
These three were hilarious throughout the reunion!  Bruce, Radley and Asher (with Carter most of the time too) were always running around together.
They were seriously together almost all the time!
We took up a big part of the river and this wasn't even all of us!
Shayla and I
Aaron, Jax, Kenney and Brock letting round 2 of the sunscreen soak in.
Keyan and Kelli helping the kids find creatures too.
Ashlyn
Brek and Emberly
Jax
Papa got all the kids to race.  They all had a good time, but a few got run over by the bigger kids.
Run, run, run
Gentry and Bentley.  Gentry was always close to one of the little girls helping them or playing with them.

Kacy, Bentely, Me and Emberly

Lots of girls hanging out!

Our living room almost seemed small when everyone was in our house!!

The Selfie Queen

This girl loves a camera! She is constantly taking my phone to use the camera and take pictures, usually of herself. She has figured out two different ways to use the camera without unlocking the phone, one of which the boys still haven't figured out yet! Sometimes she takes pictures of other people and sometimes other people take pictures of her, but I am constantly deleting pictures she has taken!!

Early June

A beautiful sunset.  We've had a lot recently.
One Sunday after church we had a nephew throw a rock while playing in the parking lot, and it hit our van window.  Unfortunately it shattered the window.  Kenney made this cardboard patch to use until we could get it replaced.  I was blown away at how much effort he put forth and how good it worked.  He even cut out two places to see the side mirror and to look out the side.  It was impressive!
Bentley's hair after we took out her pig tails one day.
This girl thinks she is so big and decided to feed herself a root beer float.
She successfully ate the root beer float and thoroughly covered herself too.
The library summer reading program has had a lot of events for the kids.  One day they had an animal show.  This is the kids looking at some South American lizard.  The boys are in the middle of the picture (2 in red one in black) trying to see over the other kids. They were impressed with the animals; Bentley not so much.  She took over 100 pictures on my phone instead.
Damon right after touching the python, and yes I got rather close (my pounding heart could tell you how close).
Radley was brave too.  I tried to stay level headed because I don't want my kids to be scared of snakes too, but it was really hard.  However all the boys touched the snake and the lizard without any problems!
