Kyler's Track Meet

Kyler was excited for the track meet, not quite as enthusiastic as Damon, but still excited. He's got some pretty competitive boys in his class that take it really serious. Kyler does his best but isn't as concerned about winning. He ended up doing great and had a lot of fun. Bentley and Radley made some good cheerleaders and watched both the boys. Kenney's parents were also able to come watch making it a little more special.

I think he's ready to over the hurdles!!

If you look close on the  mat, Kyler did a flip at the end.  I only caught his feet up in the air because I wasn't expecting it!
It's blurry, but this is him crossing the finish line of the 40 m dash.
Baseball throw
Entertaining themselves between events.
Ready to run the 100m
Run, Kyler run!!!
Kyler with his friends Caden and Alex.
1st leg of the relay (he was running against boys too, but they were in other lanes you can't see).
Kyler with Mrs. Williams.  He loved Mrs. Williams.  She was soft spoken and taught him a lot.  I think he'll miss her next year.
2nd place in the 2nd grade relay.
1st place in 40m, baseball throw, & long jump.  2nd place in obstacle course, 100m & relay.

Pulling Damon's Tooth

Damon was determined to pull his loose tooth before school ended.  On the night before the last day of school, he let Kyler try and shoot it out with a Nerf Gun.  Here's the video of that attempt.  The tooth wasn't quite loose enough for the Nerf Gun, but he let us try 3 different times!!

He decided he wanted it out bad enough that he let me try and pull it out.  Kenney and I both hate dealing with loose teeth.  I hated losing teeth as a kid and was dreading this.  I really didn't want to pull it out, but he really wanted it gone.  So Kenney graciously held the camera while I pulled the tooth.  Thankfully we only had to try twice.  Once I got a napkin to grip the tooth better it came right out!!

Radley's End of School Party & Awards

Radley had his Pre-K party at the park this year. Bentley and I were able to come play with all the kids and have lunch. Since the park is right behind the hospital Daddy was also able to come between patients to say hi! They had some games for the kids, face painting, and water guns. The kids all had a blast, and the weather was great.

Radley's track meet was a joke.  It was pretty pathetic this year.  He did great in his group and can throw about 5 times further than any other kid!!  During his awards he got lots of medals for his track meet and was awarded the Citizenship award like his brothers!!

That's a pretty cool basketball.
She was hilarious!  She stood perfectly still with her eyes closed while she got a flower on her cheek.
I asked for just a simple flower, and she ended up with this super cute and fancy flower.
She was so proud of her flower!!

Kyler & Damon Awards

The boys both did amazing academically this year.  They excelled in all subjects, and their teachers loved them both!  During the awards ceremony they both got called up 3 times each!!  Damon received A Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, & the Citizenship Award.  He almost didn't get his perfect attendance award because he was sick right about 3 weeks before school ended.  Luckily for him teachers had already turned in their attendance records.  Kenney even mentioned his absence unknowingly to the school secretary and almost ruined his award!!  The Citizenship award is special because the teachers only pick 2 students per class that exemplify great character.

Kyler also received 3 awards including A Honor Roll, 1st Place for UIL Creative Writing, and the Citizenship Award.  He only missed one day of school, so he was unable to get perfect attendance.  This is the first year he was able to compete in UIL Academic Competition.  We had  no idea that he was even part of the creative writing team until we were told that he got first place!!  We got some of his stories, and Kenney said a lot of them were very similar to some plot lines in some of Netflix shows he watches, haha!!  We were excited to see that he got the Citizenship Award also.

Kyler & Damon Baseball

Kyler and Damon both played machine pitch baseball this year. We were a little nervous about them hitting off the machine, but they did great. They had the kids take two pitches off the machine and then let them hit off a 'T' if they didn't get a hit. We really didn't like that rule because the kids got too complacent knowing they could always hit the ball off the 'T'. The kids just wanted to get on base rather than work harder to hit off the machine. It was kind of a bummer, but they did improve and had lots of fun. The weather was not so great with the horrible winds, but the kids didn't seem to mind! I didn't get many pictures of the boys playing, but I got a few.
