October

Radley woke up one day with a red spot in his eye.  We decided to take him to the eye doctor, just to be sure it wasn't anything serious.  All was good, and his vision is great!
We had some mice in the garage, and Kenney was excited to see that he caught two mice at once!!
"Look Mom we all match!"  They were proud of their matching.
*Oma, I think they've grown since you made these pants almost a year ago!!
Of course Queen Bentley couldn't be left out.
We had about 2 days of cold (30-40 degree) weather followed by a day in the 50s.  I guess they boys acclimated to the weather pretty quickly to be running around outside without shirts on.  Well, except Kyler who had long sleeves and pants, haha!
Radley was even wearing shorts!!
Dressing up with Asher. Radley was Batman and Asher was Black Panther.

Mackenzie is so close to walking on her own!! She really can do it, but she is more timid than any of our other kids.

One day we did a lesson about the Armor of God. We used superhero dress up as our armor, we had to use what was on hand! They each took turns with it on, but Bentley was pretty funny!

Barn Dance

WTU Alumni here in Wellington organized a mother/son barn dance to raise money for scholarships.  The boys were actually really excited to go.  I told them they couldn't wear their typical mesh shorts and t-shirts, because they needed to dress nice.  Since it was a barn dance they assumed they needed to dress like cowboys (like costume dress up).  They were majorly disappointed when we didn't have any western clothes, boots, belts, or hats.  They tried to wear the straw hat that comes with kids meal from the Big Texan, but I told them no!  We ended up being some of the only people there without boots and hats!  Damon and Radley decided to wear belts (regular church belts) thinking it made them look more cowboy.  I guess since we are Texans, we should invest in that stuff, boots especially!

I have 3 amazing boys!  Love them so much.
Bentley didn't want to be left out.

They loved being with all of their friends.
Such cute boys!
Damon was my most willing dance partner.  Neither of us really knew what we were doing.  I'm far from a dancer and even further from a dance teacher, but we did it anyway!
At least we both tried!
Kyler is about as coordinated as I am when it comes to dancing so we made quite a pair!!
They ate on the ground because there weren't too many tables, but they didn't seem to mind or question it one bit.
The boys all ended up running around in the arena most of the time.  Radley was there basically the entire night, but got hit really hard by a rock when the boys all decided to start throwing rocks.  He wasn't too happy after that.
But he's so dang cute!

Cix and Damon
Hayes and Kyler
Our attempt at a selfie as we were leaving.  Radley was in a bad mood, so he was trying to hide.

The boys all came running for Old Time Road.  It got almost everyone to dance.

Damon also got into this song with one of his friends.

This Crazy Girl!

Mackenzie has a wild and growing personality!  She is so funny and lovable but intense and crazy all at the same time.  Here are some videos to show a few sides to her.

This girl is crazy in her crib.  I am constantly having to move it back towards the wall because she jumps and shakes it out away from the wall.

The girl can eat!!  She loves her food and doesn't mess around at meal times.  I am in shock at how much she can fit into that tiny belly.  She has finally gotten some teeth, but she mostly just swallows the food whole.  However, she eats everything we give her so it's really nice (as long as we feed her fast enough)!

She is always jumping, in her bed, on our laps, or anywhere else she feels stable.  She can't stop moving! Here she is 'jump driving' as Bentley calls it.

Mackenzie is one intense baby!  This is the first football game she has ever been too, and she actually watched the game!  She would get excited when there were big plays and screamed like she understood what was happening.  It was like she couldn't express herself; while at the same time she didn't know what she was feeling.  It was hilarious watching her.  And I was not bouncing her; she was jumping and moving all over.  I was merely trying to keep her on my lap.  Also notice she tenses up and shakes at one point.  It was pretty funny.

One day when Mackenzie woke up from a nap, she wasn't very happy.  Radley decided to read her a book to see if it would cheer her up.  It was really cute and sweet watching him read to her.  I love when she giggles with him.

Here she is taking a few steps.  Kenney was hoping to record her walking behind the shopping cart.  Instead, she just tried to walk to him!

Firetruck Ride

The girls and I joined a home school co-op/ playgroup for a fire week demonstration in Childress. We were able to learn a few basic fire safety principles. The kids made hats, painted, played BINGO, ate pizza, and ran around. We all headed down the street to the fire station where all of us listened to the firemen and then rode on top of the firetruck. The boys were jealous, but I assured them we visited a fire station with them when they were little too. Damon said he didn't remember, but I assured him Bentley won't remember this either!!

All the cousins that don't go to school were there too.
Climbing up to the top!

Not too sure what was going on.  I had to let one of the firemen hold her while I climbed up and she didn't like that!
Poor attempt at a selfie.

All the people working in the businesses downtown walked out and waved to the kids.  It was really sweet of them.
Warming up a little bit to being on the firetruck.
Lights and sirens were going!
Lots of kids!!

Bentley had a great time and wasn't scared one bit! Mackenzie wasn't too sure at first, but she didn't seem to mind it as we went.

Spooky Decorations

I'm not really one for Halloween decorations. I just don't like the spooky stuff, but the kids love it, especially Kyler. He always has.  We have recently spaced out bedtimes a little, so it gives us some time with just Kyler at the end of the day.  I really like this time we get together and this night we made it better than normal by making these spooky concoctions.  We both had a lot of fun!

None of this stuff creeps out Kyler or Kenney.  They both like Halloween stuff.  Hopefully Kyler will become Kenney's scary movie watching buddy!  Bentley got jealous and thought she needed to make one too, so we got supplies to make one more for her.
The milk jug skeletons are hanging strong!
