The highlight of June was our trip to Yellowstone, but we did other things too! Here are some of the things we did this month.
Molly Sims and I did another volleyball camp. It was very successful and we had girls from 7 different school districts come, as well as some homeschool girls. Hopefully this is one step closer to getting a volleyball program in Wellington.
These girls love their onesie pjs they got at DI.
Mackenzie was picked to get a balloon made for her. She got the biggest one!
Bentley got picked too!
This has been Bentley's snack of choice lately. No wonder she's so thin!
The garden is growing really well
He harvested some potatoes, even some blue/purple ones
Kyler made this strawberry cake by himself
Kenney made Nana a pizza cutter with the 3D printer that had a special message on it, haha!
Another 3D printer request, this was Keyan's idea.
Eating some of those potatoes. We had 4 different kinds and they were all yummy!
More 3D prints.
Lots of time at the WAV since we got a season pass.
Bentley got a dragonfly
She was so nervous up there, but she got a really cool one!
Kyler finally finished up his baseball season, and has some good plays.
Kyler and Damon played together on a summer league basketball team for the first time since 1st and 2nd grade. They enjoyed playing together because they finally had another person to run the court with them. Damon gets the steal here and passes it to Kyler to finish the fast break.
We finished our trip with a couple days in Utah. We were able to stay with Matt and Linda which the kids LOVE! The hot tub, Fortnite with Tucker, and Matt and Linda make the visit so fun for them! We were also able to go to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house. It was beautiful, peaceful and a great opportunity for our family. I'm so glad we were able to do that. Everyone even hiked the Y while we were there. I was impressed with their determination and good attitudes. There were also several trips to DI, about 4 different DI's looking for BYU shirts and a specific DVD Kenney has been looking for. We were pretty tired on our way home, but before we left the city we introduced the kids to Jamba Juice and Panda Express, ya know great culinary experiences, haha!
Our first stop was "This is the Place." We thought we were going to Ensign Peak, but this worked too to kill some time.
Damon approves of the hot tub.
Linda pulled out a solo stove to make s'mores. Every place we went the kids has s'mores. They hated it, haha!
The view from the temple.
The temple was beautiful.
The kids all really enjoyed being able to walk through the entire temple and not be stuck in a waiting room, the parking lot, or the baptistry.
But she was a little bit tired; there was a lot of walking!
Pretty flowers and pretty girls.
More flowers
The start of the hike
Taking lots of breaks!
Enjoying the view
Forget me nots
We made it to the top!
This valley has definitely changed and getting more crowded.
They were all pretty happy with themselves.
Not surprisingly, Kenney wore a Texas Tech shirt to hike the Y.
Such a pretty time in Utah.
The stairs down to Kenney's and I first apartment.
Yeah everyone was exhausted!
Any chance she gets to write or draw, she takes it.
It does not look as steep as it feels walking down, but it was quite slippery too!
