Kenney's Canadian Fishing Trip

Kenney was able to go on an amazing fishing trip with his dad to Canada for 10 days. They drove up to Winnipeg and then took 2 small planes to a remote area. One plane was even a float plane! How cool is that?!? They were fishing for Northern Pike and were able to catch a lot of big ones! Kenney enjoyed the group of guys they were with and got a lot of time with his dad. It's a trip he will never forget! The biggest pike he caught was 36.25in and Mark caught a 43inch. Those were some big fish!

The cookies made it on the plane! Kenney was able to sit by the pilot and get a great view of everything!

The float plane ride was pretty cool!

Kenney's 35 inch pike

Shore lunch included a lot of fish!!

They knew this was going to be a big one!

Yep, it was a big one! 43 inches!!

Wild & Free and a Visit from the Bonds

Wild & Free on 83 was the first weekend in August, and it was the same weekend that Robbie and Sara came to visit with Clara.  She is such a cute happy kid!  All of our kids enjoyed spending time with them and we were all able to go to Wild and Free together.

The theme for the bike parade was princesses and super heroes.  Mackenzie had a great time!  Bentley wouldn't participate in the parade.
Can you believe Kyler squeezed into one those?!?  Radley still fits, but Kyler!
She loved this too!
The girls begged for face painting!
It wasn't as painful as she made it look, haha!

She likes to dance too!

She loved the bike parade!!

Get it Girl!!

That grease pole was super slick and it moved so it was really hard to climb.  The boys worked together and were able to win $100!!

India Day

We finished our summer travels by learning about India. We did morning yoga, learned about turbans and why people choose to wear them and then attempted to wrap them. We also learned about bindis too. We did our own version of a Holi celebration with silly string. For dinner we had tikka masala and butter chicken with basmati rice and homemade chapati and mango lassi to drink. I'm still surprised after 3 summers of this, the kids are always asking for more. They truly do love doing it.
I was shocked how much they got into the partner yoga.  They actually really enjoyed it.
Some of us are far less flexible than others, haha!
Our proportions were a little off!!
The closest thing we had to a bindi at home
And we used scarves for turbans rather than yards and yards needed for a true turban.

The silly string was a hit for a last minute Holi celebration!
