Halloween 2014

These boys had an AMAZING Halloween. Highlights include: winning the costume contest (again), candy, playing games, jumping in the bouncy castles, candy, their costumes (except Radley), Krispy Kreme donuts, candy, trick-or-treating, & did I mention CANDY!! Kyler reminded me that Halloween is his favorite. He loves everything about Halloween, and Damon agrees with anything Kyler says so they loved it!!

The Tin Man

We wanted the boys to be something coordinating, and surprisingly they agreed.  They decided to be the characters from the Wizard of Oz.  Kyler choose the Tin Man, and Kenney made a really cool ax to go with it, but we lost it the first Halloween activity we attended.  I had way too many things to keep track of.

The Scarecrow

Damon decided to be the scarecrow and thought that I should be the gurl (it sounds so cute when he says girl) and Daddy should be the dog.  We didn't quite get the whole Dorothy and Toto thing, but he sure made a cute scarecrow!
The Lion

This little lion did not like his costume.  He really didn't like his mane.  He screamed every time I tried to put it on.  We finally got him distracted enough with a sucker to get the mane on him and take a couple pictures!
This is the first time we tried it on...
and he continued to hate it!!
We started off celebrating the day before Halloween with a carnival at the Science Spectrum.  They had crafts, games and candy of course!
Radley had fun with the games, but mostly he just wanted candy.  He was obsessed.  If someone gave him a piece of candy he had to eat it right then.  There was nothing in his little pumpkin; it was all in his tummy!
The boys' friend Emily dressed up like Dorothy on the day of the carnival.  We tried so hard to get a picture of them all together, but this is the best we got!  It was really cute!
Halloween morning started off by going to the bank (the ladies at the bank love the boys, and the boys love getting candy).  Then we went to Krispy Kreme and got donuts!
Radley was pretty happy about his donut!
The boys had to go to the dentist after Krispy Kreme and picked up these cool shades!  And yes, they insisted on going to the dentist in their costumes.  Luckily the entire staff, including the dentist, were all wearing superhero costumes!  I am happy to report there were no cavities (thankfully we went before most of the Halloween candy)!
Our attempt of getting a picture before heading to the Museum and going trick-or-treating.
This was after our attempt to put the mane on Radley.  He was still mad at us!
We headed to the costume contest right when we got there.  We had some tough competition (see the cheeseburger on the left), but they did it again!
Radley found the shades while the boys were doing some crafts.  He thought he was cool!
I know the picture is horrible, but they were so funny coming down the slide together.  They were rolling all over each other and laughing so hard!
The boys taking a picture with Spongebob.  That is as close as Damon would get!!

Here is Kyler having a blast jumping off the slide. I don't think my kids have any fears when it comes to this kind of stuff!

At'l Do Farm and Corn Maze

Some friends of ours told us about a farm and corn maze that we should go to because it was so much fun. We went last weekend and the boys had an absolute BLAST!!! They loved everything about it. We were there for over 4 hours, and they were begging us not to go home! I love being about to watch them have so much fun!!

While we were waiting for some other friends to join us, the boys were looking for fish in the pond.  They can't wait for Daddy to take them fishing and neither can I!!
I'm not sure why, but Kyler wanted his picture taken by this big rooster!
Radley and I on the Cow Train.  It was definitely not meant for anyone that is 6ft tall!!  However, I didn't know how well Radley would stay put with his brothers, so one of us had to go.  He seemed to really enjoy the ride through the corn!
Kyler, Emily, & Damon.  She's a great sport to keep up with these boys.  They don't give her any slack!
Pullin' Out
Everyone loved the ride.  We added another friend to ride with Radley and I.
They were all so excited!
Next, we went to the corn cannon where the boys each got three shots to shoot a target with a corncob.
Kyler said, "Daddy will you cover my ears please?"  Haha he really doesn't like loud noises!
If you look at the top of the picture you can see the corncob.  He actually hit the target!!  Way to go Kyler!
When Damon stepped up to shoot, one of the teenagers running the cannon said, "Wow he's really excited!"  Yep, Damon can't control his emotions too well!  He was beyond happy to shoot the cannon.  I couldn't get a great angle to see his face, but pure joy was written all over his face!
The corn maze was the favorite!  They had so much fun running through it.  Luckily there was a part just for kids their age where you couldn't get lost or make many wrong turns!
Radley loved it too and didn't want to be held.
I tried to get a picture of all three in the corn maze, and this is what I get!  Radley is behind Damon.  They wouldn't stop moving for anything!
Family Photo.  Not the worst, but room for improvement!
He was laughing so hard!  He loves to play!
Hay bale maze.  There were no right or wrong turns.  They just ran wild!
Eventually they made their way out.
It was such a nice and pretty night.  The bugs and the wind weren't bad (unusual for here).  It was great!
I couldn't get a great picture on the hay ride, but they had fun on here too!
There were a lot of very intricate pumpkin carvings on the hay ride.
Some silly pumpkins
Just a few of the characters and people carved.  There were all kinds of celebrities and cartoon characters.  The boys loved pointing out all the ones they recognized.
I love living in a place where a pumpkin like this is NOT offensive!
Yes, the best picture we could get!
The three of them trying to squeeze into one spot because none of them wanted to share!
Reading one of the storybook pages through the corn maze (Sorry the pictures are out of order.  I'm too lazy to mess with it).
We had so much fun, and can't wait to do it again sometime!

This is one of the pages of the storybook that we read as we went through the maze.  They couldn't run fast enough to find the next page!

Radley was so funny running around.  He would swing his legs out and just run at his own little pace.  It was really cute and fun to watch!

Playtime & Pumpkins

There are a few shots of the boys just playing around the house.  Radley has become quite the poser.  It is so nice when the boys play together; I just wish it wasn't so loud!!  The noise level drives me crazy, and I can't just send them outside!!

Radley now has a cheesy face!
This boy loves things that move, whether it be trains or trucks or cars.  I would like them much more if he didn't have to play with them in the kitchen!
Look at the grin! Kenney gets a lot of comments from patients or people at work about Damon.  They see his picture and say, "That one is ornery isn't he?"  It's that obvious huh?!?
CHEESE
One particularly long and stressful day, Radely decided to climb back into the bathtub AFTER I had just put on his pajamas and got him ready for bed!  Thanks Radley!!
One day a friend of ours had a family emergency so we had another little boy with us all day.  I have to say, I didn't really notice one more little boy running around here!

These boys are obsessed with Halloween! They point out every Halloween themed object they see, notice every time someone says Halloween, talk about trick-or-treating and costumes constantly, tell me we never have enough decorations in our house or outside our house, etc, etc.!! Kyler is especially obsessed and has caused the others to be the same way! They love going places that have Halloween decorations, and Radley points them out just as much as the rest! It's pretty funny. Having said that, they have been bugging me about buying pumpkins for weeks now. So when they finally went on sale we bought 3 pumpkins and got to work!

I was curious how the cleaning of the pumpkins would go this year, because last year neither of the boys wanted anything to do with it.  We have made some improvements!!  Kyler and Radley both helped (meaning they would at least touch the stuff)!
Damon couldn't miss any of the action.  He just didn't want to touch it!
A 'normal' picture of our children.
Radley was crying and wanting me to hold him so Kenney said, "Radley smile!"  This is the face he gave, and once the picture was taken he returned to crying!
Radley loved climbing on the table and using the big spoons.  I'm not sure what Damon is doing.  Flexing maybe?
Scraping them out!
After a lot of carving, tears and way too many, "Are they done yet's" we finally got three pumpkins carved!
Damon wanted a bat.  Kyler a ghost.  And Radley got the spooky one.
Carrying the pumpkins outside.  Look how strong he is!!
They refused to sit still to take a picture!
We may only do one pumpkin next year!  This took way too much effort!  However, they do get excited every time they go outside and see them.
Yes, this is the best picture we could get!

There is nothing of particular interest in this video. I just thought the Grandma's would enjoy it!
