My mom did it again!! Halloween was a hit this year. My mom has always made my Halloween costumes, and now she makes them for the boys. She did such an amazing job with Batman and Robin last year we thought she would totally be up for the task of Buzz and Woody this year. Woody looked fantastic, and she did amazing. As she was thinking about Buzz, she was trying to come up with a way to get his wings to pop out. Well, that was just too much so she went a little easier, thank goodness! The boys went to a playgroup Halloween party and the trunk-or-treat at the church and had a great time. Everyone thought we had the best looking Buzz and Woody around, thanks to Oma!!

"To infinity and beyond"
This was the best picture we got of Buzz and Woody together
Damon was not quite so sure what we were doing to him
Ready to go get some candy!!
Our little cowboy was so cute!!
"What? They are giving me candy?"
Kyler tried to eat the first piece he got, but then realized everyone there was handing out candy so he couldn't waste anymore time eating the candy. He had to get as much as he could.
Once Damon figured out what was going on, there was nothing we could do to make him let go of his pumpkin.
Let the candy eating begin!
Kyler takes the candy business very seriously. As we were walking back to the car, he was showing me every piece of candy he got. He would say, "I got this candy, and this candy, and this candy." He was so happy!
What did both of them pick for their candy, a sucker!! Go figure!! At least it leaves more chocolate for me!!
I LOVE THIS
Sucker Face
He was finally still long enough to get a decent full body shot.
Woody got a little to hot and sticky with his shirt on!
So we thought the boys could be Chipendales if Buzz and Woody didn't work out! They love to run around in just diapers anyways!
Damon absolutely loves to dance! It is so funny to watch him when any type of music comes on because he immediately starts moving. Sometimes I will even catch him bouncing to music at church. I'm not sure how any hymns at church could make someone want to dance, but Damon can dance to anything!! He really started to get his whole body moving when we would watch The Voice in the evening. We can get Kyler dancing too, but he doesn't like it nearly as much as Damon.
We told Kyler he needed to pick up his room one night, and this was his solution. He put everything that was on the floor onto his bed, including the dirty clothes Damon was throwing around. He usually likes to sleep with at least one toy, but I think this was a little over kill!
We decided to vote a little early this year to avoid crowds. The boys went too. Damon was with Kenney, and I took Kyler with me. Everyone there was excited to see some younger faces and gave the boys stickers. Kyler enjoyed pushing the buttons and Damon pretty much just watched. Kyler called Shandi afterwards excited to say, "I voted!"
This is Damon's favorite place in the living room and it terrifies me. He love to turn the light switch on and off, but he has to climb onto the arm of the couch to do it. Kyler does it all the time and I don't worry, but Damon is not quite that big yet, even though he thinks he is just as big as Kyler. These days instead of jumping on the cushions he just belly flops on them. He thinks it is so much fun. Even after he falls off, he gets right back up and does it again. Crazy kid!
I know that I already posted a video of Kyler singing his ABC's, but this was too funny not to post!
These boys have been having a lot of fun lately and have gotten completely spoiled. Oma (my mom) came to visit us. They loved having her here and getting so much attention. They got slurpees, new toys, clothes and pretty much everything they wanted. We then went to see Nanny and Grandaddy because my sister and aunt were going to be there. The boys had a blast at Nanny's house. Damon was on cloud 9 because there were dogs. He gets excited every time he sees a dog and loved having dogs around the entire weekend. Kyler loved Nanny's because he played on her iPad and cartoons were on her TV the entire day!! They also got spoiled rotten by 3 different people this time! Lets just say, between 2 aunts, an Oma and a Nanny the boys' Christmas is taken care of!!
Just relaxing and eating a snack!
Kyler has been learning his ABC's lately. He can recognize most of the letters and is kind of getting the hang of the song. The part where he sings "L-M-N-O-P" is pretty funny. He also wiggles his toes towards the end of the song. It's crazy how he can move them like that.
Damon really loves the bath. He even busted his lip and kept on playing. He didn't even cry when it happened because he wanted to stay in the tub.
At Nanny's Damon found some interesting things to play with. The pipe was a big hit (literally), it hurt when it smacked you!
I just think this look is hilarious!
The doggie door kept them entertained for quite a while.
Someone had to go inside and coax Damon through the first time, but he caught on pretty quick.
Kyler acting like he couldn't get back outside.
Aww so cute. Surprisingly, Damon didn't get a kiss this time, but he absolutely loved these dogs!!
Meeting at the door
Diaper butt
The pipe was just too tempting, it had to be tasted. I think Shandi was disgusted by what these boys would put in their mouths. No use in wiping things off that fall on the ground, we put everything in our mouth anyways!
Shandi brought the boys stuff from DC, including Slime. Kyler had so much fun with it. I haven't heard him laugh like that very often. He was cracking up!!
Nothing too spectacular happened during September; just our everyday life. We spent some time at the museum, went to a lot of parks, learned how to climb, decided naps are no longer necessary, a just tried to make it through everyday without a catastrophe!
Damon LOVES to dance!! Every time he hears music he starts bouncing in some way. I need to get a video of his whole body going at it, but the head bounce will have to do for now!
Kyler loves to run through the spinning flaps at the museum. I'm not quite sure what is so fascinating about them, but every time we go he has to run through them multiple times.
The boys are trying to keep their plane from crashing. Sorry it's pretty bad filming, but the angles were extremely awkward.
Every time Kyler takes a nap now, he won't go to bed until 11pm, so we have been trying to take out the nap and see how it goes. We are struggling a little, but some days he just can't take it. This day he fell asleep eating a snack with his hand in the bowl!! It's so hard being 2!
Damon's newest phase is climbing, and it scares me to DEATH!! He has no fear and climbs no matter how many times he falls. The table was just the beginning.
They are so proud that they can climb onto the dresser. I am not such a big fan of this stage. I wonder daily if my boys will survive until age 5.
The dresser was the next big feat. He first got onto the bed and then put the blankets in the corner so he could step on them and finally got onto the dresser. His little toes amaze me!!
Kyler runs into the kitchen every time he hears the mixer. He loves licking the beaters. He is majorly disappointed when it turns out to be potatoes instead of a cake or cookies.
I think it's safe to say he likes cake batter!!
According to Damon food tastes so much better when he is not sitting in his seat and when he can eat out of the bowl on the table with the big spoon. He ate almost an entire bowl of corn one night. He was having a good time!!
Much to my dislike the boys love peaches. I can't stand the texture or the smell, but did not want to pass on my bias so I let them eat them. This video is funny because Damon is learning how to throw fits and fake cry. It's amazing how fast he can turn it off!
Kenney is required to get involved in community health events for school every semester. Last weekend the boys and I were able to be part of the experience too. We did a walk to end Alzheimer's along with at least 1000 others. There were plenty of things for the boys to watch, and they enjoyed to walk. We only lasted for 2 miles, but we did have to wait for about an hour for the walk to start and they were getting tired. We were also lucky because the weather was so nice. It was in the 60s and fabulous! Overall, we had a good time, and it was a fun way to spend our Saturday as a family.
I love how our family pictures are getting worse and worse!
The Texas Tech Women's Basketball team lead the walk (for only about 1/4 of a mile before they quit) but the boys had fun watching them and the miniature ponies.
This player loved our boys and just wanted to hold Damon. He was a pretty good sport about it and let her hold him without screaming.
Kyler wanted to pet these ponies, but he looks extremely unsure of it here.
I'm not sure which was more uncomfortable, the basketball player or the pony.
Kyler discovered how to roll down a hill while we were waiting for the walk to start. He really loved going down over and over. Somehow pretty much every time he went down he hit Damon. I'm not so sure it was an accident after the first time!
Kyler got out of the stroller a few times and ran along with everyone else. He had fun keeping up!
The people go all the way back around the corner. There were quite a few of us.
After we got back they had lunch for everyone. The boys each got their own bag of Cheetos and LOVED it!
