Apollo Party

On Saturday the hospital in Childress had a celebration party with the Apollo Life Flight company now that there are helicopter services available. There were lots of activities for kids: bounce houses, a dunking booth, hot dogs/chips/cookies/drinks, and emergency vehicles for the kids to explore.  It was nice to have a fun activity for all of us to do close to home.

Inside the helicopter.
Damon flying
Kyler as co-pilot
Inside the firetruck.

The kids did awesome at the dunking booth. Damon hit lever on his first round of balls!

Kyler hit the target multiple times just not hard enough. Right after this video ended he had one last throw and dunked the guy!

Rainy Days and End of Sept

The end of September was full of rainy days. It was great! I loved having full rainy/cloudy days since we don't get them very often. It was fun for the kids too because it wasn't some crazy thunderstorm keeping them from playing in the rain. Bentley and Radley played outside in the morning, and when the other two got home from school they all went out together. They had a blast; I had a lot of laundry!!

Jumping in puddles
Trying to make a huge splash
They weren't quite in sync!!
Slipping and sliding on the trampoline
Radley was trying to fly across the trampoline.

They loved jumping around in the rain!!

Kenney was really impressed that when it was our turn to clean the church we had help from men that were in their late 80's and 90's, but they were still willing to do all they could.  It was great to see, and I hope our kids remember this!
That day we took the kids to McDonalds for working hard at the church and a thunderstorm came through.  It was kinda funny because there had been news about strong winds from the hurricanes pretty far inland.  They were making a big deal about 40MPH winds which is a very common things around here.

The winds were pretty impressive, but nothing out of the ordinary for us.

Johnny Appleseed day involved making treats for Damon's class, but it turned out to be a FHE activity/treat too!
Bentley just kept sneaking M&Ms
Gross!!
This was Kyler's creation, and he ate the entire thing, licking the napkin!!  And yet he thinks most dinners I make don't taste good!!

Red Faces

At dinner one night Kyler said, "Daddy look I can make my face really red."  He then proceeded to do this:

I'm not sure where he got this idea but it was hilarious.  I almost lost it when he sucked the snot back up!!

Not to be left out Damon had to try too! I thought his eyes might pop out!!

Poor Radley attempted too, but just didn't quite get the concept.

Bentley can also make a red face, haha!!

Friday Night Football

Football is becoming increasingly more important in our house. The boys actually like to watch it and are beginning to understand the game and rules much more. Damon is especially obsessed with football. It was actually fun taking them to a game this year! Well Bentley wasn't too excited about, maybe because she knows there is a lot more football in her future, but she had fun for the first half! We went to the Wellington/Childress game in Childress on their new turf field. Apparently it was a big deal which side we were going to sit on, but we all wore red and sat on the Wellington side. Damon was really bummed we didn't win the game but had a great time anyway.
The new 1 million dollar field!

Look at #53.  That guy is huge!!  He's almost 7 feet tall and just a monster of a guy!

Our selfies def need some work!

Random Moments

Radley's tricks
He put together a puzzle and then picked it up.
Bentley is hiding in the box waiting to scare Daddy.
Crazy hair!
Kyler caught a butterfly one morning before church and kept all through the entire drive and first hour of church.
I think Kenney was surprised that I would play knock out with the boys so he had to video it and take pictures!!
