Mother's Day Pictures

The best part of my Mother's Day was our super quick photo shoot. As long as we keep pictures quick the kids are usually pretty cooperative. I love this kids more than they know, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works until they each become a parent. I did get some cereal in bed and some great cards too!

Almost perfect, just Kyler's smile.  We're anxiously awaiting for him to grow out of the awkward smile phase!!

Sometimes it's hard for others to see, but this kid has the biggest and kindest heart.
Such a fun and easy kid to be around.
Don't let this innocent face fool you, there is some major attitude here but also a lot of love.
Just the happiest baby ever!
He makes me look like quite a good parent, but it's mostly just him.

Some Mother's Day surprises we delivered to some amazing women we know!  Too bad so many of those people were too far away for their own delivery, but we still love them!

Worms

On a cool and wet Saturday morning, Kenney decided to show the kids his tricks for finding earthworms. He use to collect them to take them fishing, but since he has no where to take the kids fishing, they fed their worms to the chickens. I'm not sure if Kenney is the master teacher, the kids are great students/hunters, or the conditions were just perfect, but the found so many worms!!

Radley showing off all the worms he got, but Bentley's face is hilarious!!
Kenney showing the kids the worm tracks.
Look!  I got a worm!
Just one of many worm collections for the day.  And yes, Bentley was a hot mess!!

I'm not sure who was more proud, Kenney or the kids!!

The hunt is on...

May Weather & Her Tongue

I know I keep talking about the weather, but oh my goodness, this spring has lasted so long and been so great! We have only made it to the 90s once this year and we're in the middle of May; that's incredible!! Everything is so green and there are still wildflowers all over! We love being able to enjoy the evenings together outside without dying of heat. I know it is short lived with summer so quickly approaching, but we'll take perfect weather and cheaper utility bills as long as we can!

I made soup in May because the high was in the 50s!!  Crazy and so so nice to not be blistering hot!
Kenney is the grass growing king!!!  Look at that luscious beautiful green grass!
Now that we know the grass is thick enough to lay around in, we have plans to make the entire backyard look like this!!  So excited for that!
Before and after in the newly grown section of the yard.  It still needs to be seeded again to thicken it up, but it's already 100 times better!
Her tongue is out all the time now and she spits!
Hahahaha
Smiling and sticking her tongue out at everyone at church!

I love it when she can't decide if she wants to cry or smile!

Kindergarten Graduation

We've got another Kindergarten graduate!! Radley has done amazing this year. He's a great reader now and loves learning. His teacher never have anything but positive things to stay about him. He's got a rough class with some kids that have a really hard time, so hopefully he keeps enjoying school. We love this kid and watching him grow. Crazy to think he'll graduate high school in 2031!!
The entire Kindergarten class! It's so small.
Our cute little graduate having his name called.
Getting his American Citizenship Award.  All 3 of our boys got this award!!  Super proud!
Daddy was able to come!!
I was there too!  Love this boy!
He is just too cute!
Radley and his friend Maverick

We have loved Mrs. Sumrall.  She has been great.  She gave us a great compliment when we were talking to her.  She told us that we are the people that need to keep having kids.  I told her I thought we have done our part with 5 kids, haha!
Bentley was excited to be there too!

This was a new song. The kids were signing each letter of the alphabet in ASL. I thought that was cool

K & D Awards

Kyler and Damon have done amazing in school this year! They have both done really well academically, but they have also made an impression on their teachers.  It feels great as a parent for teachers to recognize that our boys are good kids.  I'm so happy they work hard in school and make good grades, but more importantly, they are helpful and kind to those around them.

Damon with all of 2nd grade A Honor Roll
For the second year in a row, Damon got the American Citizenship Award.  This is the only award their teachers give outside of perfect attendance and honor roll.
Now to get him to behave this well and home and church...
Damon with his friend Bentlee S. (there are two boys in his class named Bentlee).  They both got the Citizenship Award.
Damon and his teacher Mrs. Brandon.  He had loved being in her class and done so well.  She was a trooper for putting up with so many boys!  There are so many boys in 2nd grade which can get a little crazy!
He didn't want to go back to class until he got a picture with his sisters.  Bentley, however, would not cooperate so he was happy with Mackenzie.
Kyler also recieved the American Citizenship Award.  It's his 3rd one!  I only hear great things about him from all the teachers at the school.  He's a great kid!
The only one of the boys to get perfect attendance.  Damon and Radley only missed one day, bummer.
