Grandpa Hoer passed away right as the school year was ending. We didn't know when they were going to do the funeral, but it ended up working out that school would be over and our entire family would be able to make the trip. We left the afternoon school let out for summer and began the journey north! It had been a while since we made a road trip and there were plenty of tears and screams along the way, but we had a great time and were able to see so many people we love!

We keep trying to remember to take pictures at state signs, but sometimes kids are sleeping and sometimes the signs are horrible.

Matt & Linda's House
Matt and Linda were amazing hosts, and we had a great time. Kenney and I had our own room, and then the boys had their own and so did the girls. Tucker played video games with boys non stop, the hot tub was a HUGE success! The games downstairs were also fun. Linda let Bentley help her make breakfast. It was a great time even though we didn't spend a lot of time there.

The best day of the school year finally arrived for Damon and Radley. Bentley had a great time too! Kenney & I were running all over the place like normal trying to watch as many events as possible. It was odd not having Kyler there, but fun adding a girl to the mix! The kids all did really well and had fun!

These boys racked up the academic awards this year!! We are so proud of them. They all did amazingly well. Damon was awarded "A" honor roll, perfect attendance, the Presidental Outstanding Academic Excellence, and the Daughters of the Revolutionary Award. He got every award except "B" honor roll and most improved. Radley did great too. He received the "A" honor roll, perfect attendance, and the American Citizenship awards. He wrapped up 3rd grade on top! Kyler started his junior high career with a high bar to maintain. He received 4 academic excellence awards, perfect attendance, "A" honor roll, and we had no idea they ranked the kids based on GPA. Yep, he was #1!! Way to go Kyler!!

The spring concert was held at the Ritz. We loved having it there because we could actually see Kyler, but there wasn't enough space for the percussion instruments. I don't think there will be one there again.
Kyler was having a great time at the band concert. He was back there swaying to the music and seemed to really enjoy himself. It was fun to watch! It was also amazing to hear how much better the band had gotten since Christmas.
