Kindergarten Graduation & More

And just like that Kindergarten is over!!  Kyler has grown so much in the last year.  He now reads unbelievably well, has tons of new friends, played baseball and basketball, and sailed through his first year of school with flying colors!  Rather than straight A's, Kyler got straight E's (the highest mark you can receive).  He even got E's after the first 6-weeks, something his teacher said she rarely puts on the first report card.  He had a great year and is so excited to be a 1st grader and show Damon the ropes of Kindergarten!

Waiting for his name to be called.
They had each kid find a spot on the floor to stand on before getting their diploma.  I was happy he had a more natural smile.
Getting his diploma (his teacher is at the microphone in the red dress)
Kyler getting the citizenship award!  I guess this award is like a Student of the Year kind of a thing, and Kyler's teacher picked him and one other kid.  We are really proud of him.
Our little graduate!  Hopefully this is the first of at least 3 graduations!

Getting ready to dance and be crazy!!

A bunch of crazy kindergartners!!
There were a bunch of good kids in Kyler's class.
Poor Kyler had a very rough last day of school!  While walking to the track for the big end of year track meet, Kyler tripped and fell.  Unfortanetly, he had his hands in his pockets (yes it was cool enough for jackets in May, crazy).  He fell face first and his teeth and top lip took the brunt of it!  Thankfully we know a dentist (Kenney's brother) really well.  Kevin was able to squeeze us in and take some x-rays for us!  His front tooth was shifted down and it wasn't exactly clear if his 3rd tooth in had been cracked.  He has an extra baby tooth trying to make it's way down causing some issues, but it was the most secure one!  His poor lip was so swollen (it got much bigger than this picture shows), his gums looked awful, and his teeth were SOOO tender and loose.  He was a little dramatic about it at times, but overall he took it pretty well!  Poor kid.  The milkshakes seemed to help though!
On Sunday when his teeth were finally starting to feel less sore and he had eaten some pancakes (his first solid food), he was running inside Nana & Papa's house to get a cupcake when someone rocked back in a recliner and hit Kyler in the head as he ran by.  The timing was really remarkable and horrible!  Kyler then seriously bit his tongue (with his tender front tooth mind you) and started screaming and bleeding all over again!!!  Ugh!!  He bit his tongue all the way through.  It took about 2 and 1/2 hours to get the bleeding fully under control because the clot fell off 3 times before we finally made it home and put him to bed.  It was then much more painful to swallow so it was rough getting any food in him the next day.  Back to milkshakes!!
