There were a lot of Halloween festivities this year, as always! We started out by going to the movie theater. Then we had the church trunk-or-treat. There were also classroom parties. I was in charge of Damon's party, and I decided to do things a little different this year. All of last year's parties were just the kids eating and throwing away tons of food. I thought the kids would have a lot of fun if we played a few games. We had a bean bag toss, a game where the kids raced each other by blowing through a straw and moving a spider across the table, and a mummy wrapping game where the kids wrapped one another with toilet paper. There was also food, but the kids seemed to have a really good time. Kyler's party was just food and way too much of it!! I think the games make it more enjoyable for everyone and fewer people have to bring things!
On Saturday we went to a fall festival (see next post). On Halloween day we took them traditional trick-or-treating here around town. It was so much better this year because Radley was big enough to run up to the houses on his own. I could stay in the car with Bentley and Kenney drove. One house was handing out $1 to each kid. The boys were so excited and came out running, "We got money!" "We got dollars!"
The Mighty Morphin Dinocharge Power Rangers
All dressed and ready to watch The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown at the movie theater. They were so excited to wear their costumes for the first time.
The Blue Power Ranger (Damon)
The Pink Power Ranger (Bentley)
The Green Power Ranger (Kyler)
The Golden, not the gold, but golden, Power Ranger (Radley)
All of our trick-or-treaters going around in downtown Childress. Radley was a little nervous going around at first, but the thought of getting candy warmed him up pretty quick!! Bentley caught on by the end too and was holding out her bag to get candy, She was really cute.
Not the best picture, and the only one I got, but here are the kids trying to wrap each other as mummies in Damon's class.
Bentley grabbed the extra rolls of toilet paper before I had put them away. Thank Bentley! By the way this took less than 3 minutes (the entire mess, not just the toilet paper). I can't believe how much destruction this little girl can cause. She gets into EVERYTHING!! Way more than the boys ever did!!
Of course I didn't get the best attempt she made at getting candy, but this is kind of close. One time she walked up holding the bag with her lips puckered saying, "Ooo, ooo."
Second attempt at getting a good video, but much like the video before she mostly just looks confused!
Here are the Power Rangers in action. My favorite (not in this clip) is when Radley would say, "Dinocharge, Activate!"
