The Drive to Nashville

We started off spring break with Kyler's birthday, and a sick Radley. We knew we were headed to Dallas so we decided to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate. Radley got a fever and was out of commission for a few days, but didn't have any other symptoms. On Wednesday Bentley came down with a fever but no other symptoms. Thursday morning, the day we were headed out, Bentley threw up at breakfast. It was mostly mucus so we didn't think too much of it. We loaded the car and headed to Dallas after lunch. However, around 4:00 Bentley threw up in the car. Ugh!!! Puke in the car is the worst! We knew we needed to stop a the closest store and try and find some kind of a bowl because Bentley refused to hold a bag to throw up in.

We made it to Walmart where Bentley threw up all over herself, me, and the middle of the isle.  We tried to clean it up as best as we could and waited around after telling 3 different employees about the mess, but no one ever came.  It was so frustrating, and we finally just left.

We got to Chuck E. Cheese, and Bentley was still throwing up.  We tried to make the most of it and let the others play.  The boys had a blast and loved the games.  Bentley wanted to eat and drink everything in sight, so we had to leave.  We made it to Shandi's and tried to clean everything up.  After bathes and a load of laundry, we got everyone to bed.  Bentley continued to throw up, but began swallowing everything rather than letting it come out.  Her stomach couldn't settle because she wouldn't let anything out!!  It was so frustrating trying to convince a 2 year old that she needed to spit it all out.  Then around 3:00 am she woke up which I was slightly aware of and found the diaper bag, got her water cup, and started chugging water!!!! Keep in mind she has never been to this house before, but she was aware enough to go find some water! UGH!!  I ran as fast as I could to make her stop but not before she drank a decent amount.  It was a long night!

We weren't sure if we should keep going, but for whatever reason we did.  Bentley threw up a few more times, but mostly just screamed... for about 3 hours straight.  We stopped four times before lunch which is a new record for us.  We hate stopping and try to avoid it at all costs.  We tired to get some Sprite to calm her stomach, tired switching drivers so she wasn't screaming at me the whole time, cleaned up puke, etc, etc, etc.  When we stopped for lunch we were really questioning our sanity.  We got the boys some burgers, and Bentely wanted those and the drinks.  We didn't give them to her so she stared screaming again.  Kenney and I then took turns walking around with her crying outside.

After lunch she finally took a nap.  She woke up completely healed!  Seriously she was fine after that.  She stared eating and kept everything down.  The drive itself really wasn't bad.  The boys did great.  We went through a horribly named town called Arkadepliha, Arkansas.  Who names a town that?  Anyway, we were extremely happy to get to the hotel with our fingers crossed no one else would get sick!
Our sick baby girl.
All the boys racing.
Kyler helping a brother out.
First place finish!!
Creepy Chuck E. Cheese and a photo-bomber.
The tiniest air hockey table.
Finally asleep!!  And yes I know her straps were not in the right place, but that wasn't a battle I was willing to fight at that moment in time!

This is just a sample of what we dealt with for 3 hours!!!
