Damon has finished basketball with Kenney as his coach. They made it through their last season of the Altus League. They had to play a really tough Vernon team again and played so so well against them, but were never able to clinch the win. Damon is still a great force out there and can see the court so well. He makes amazing passes, has great defense, is super fast, and is a great encourager for all of his teammates. He has always had, and continues to have, a tough group of boys to play with, but has persevered and done really well. Kenney was a great coach to this group of boys and made an impact on several of them. I know he will be missed by a lot of them. Hopefully some of the lessons about teamwork will stick and the individualism will decrease with maturity, but only time will tell.

Damon's friend Weston had grown a mullet and his mom said that if he didn't score a basket he would have to cut his hair. He is not usually a kid that scores often. The kids in the stands and the kids on the bench were cheering, "Save the mullet!" So everyone was super excited when he finally scored. I love watching Damon get excited for other people. He is an amazing cheerleader/hype-man!
