Radley's Basketball

Radley's team had a really rough season.  They were a 5th grade team in the 5th/6th division and were much smaller than all of the other teams. Radley, however, had a great season.  He's a great player.  We got a lot of comments from spectators and refs about how fun he is to watch.  He hustles nonstop, has amazing handles, a nice shot, and doesn't back off on defense. He truly is fun to watch.  I got so many videos of him each game.  It was also really hard on him to lose every game.  He puts so much work and effort into being good, and doesn't get much reward when he plays.

There was one 6th grader on the team, but he was unable to go to a lot of the games because of other conflicts and being sick.  Damon was able to help out on those weekends so it was fun for us to watch them play together.  It was at the point in the season when Damon was already hurt, so he wasn't 100%.  I hope they will get to play on the same team one day!

There are plenty more highlights that I didn't capture, but he had an AMAZING season!

I didn't get any other still pictures besides this one because I'm always recording videos.

The highlight reel didn't come through with music, and it took me forever to make because IG was messing up.

There were a lot of plays like this for him.

Nice little drive.

One of many 3s he shot, this was the furthest out though.

The definition of breaking ankles. The crowd reaction tells you all you need to know, haha!

He was usually one of the smaller kids on the court, but that didn't stop him from playing defense and going against the big guys!

Nice little move to get open.

I really wanted this shot to go in, but it was still fun to watch them together.

Many times it was up to Radley to break the press himself, so it was nice for him to have Damon to help out.

Another shot that would have made an epic highlight!

The kid that ran up to him and got in his face was told (loud and clear by his coaches) to stay on #7, and boy did he try! This is a great example of Radley's awareness (to know that the kid touched the ball so it wasn't a double dribble) and his poise because he didn't get all frustrated when someone was in his space.

He always looked to pass if he could.

Good little shooter!

This was kinda funny because he slaps the ball right into that other kid's face without meaning to!

This was funny too. Kenney told Radley he needed to block out the big guy, and he definitely did his job!
