On the Move

He is up and going, well kind of. Kyler has decided that he wants to crawl, but has not quite figured out how to use his arms. He is a good army crawler when he really wants something you put in front of him. Lucky for me he is not completely mobile. He doesn't crawl from room to room, yet.

We took him to the doctor a couple weeks ago and found out that in the last two months he only gained 1 pound!! He's only in the 11th percentile for weight. Before you turn me in to CPS, the doctor said there is nothing to worry about. He's just an active little boy. I guess she noticed how much he moved while we were in her office! Now he has to eat at least 5-6 times per day, not including nursing. He eats breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner, and another snack before bed. Kenney thinks he's finally gaining weight, but I think he is too active and has a metabolism like his daddy.

Oma, my mom, came for a visit too. For some reason we never remember to take pictures while she is here, but we had a great time. Kyler was spoiled rotten the entire time. We got to eat some good food, make really cute curtains, go shopping, visit my nanny, drink Diet Coke (yes, she gave Kyler his first taste of Diet Coke and Red Vines), and just relax around the house. She brought us lot of new things too (2 dressers, bed frame, TV, blower, weed-eater, 100ft extension cord, 2 drills, 2 saws, a huge bucket of nails, legos, books, lots of Kyler clothes, and food). Yes, she spoils all of us. Did I mention that we love her going to all these auctions?

Kyler loves when Daddy comes home

He loves being outside and watches every car that drives by
until Kenney's little pickup pulls in the driveway.

Sitting Up!!

Kyler decided last Friday that he wanted to sit up, so he did!! Before, he was pretty good about keeping his balance for a few seconds on his own, but he could not balance himself very well when he started playing with a toy. On Friday, however, he just started sitting up all by himself. He does that with a lot of things, when he decides to do something he just does it. He rolled over once and now he does it all the time. If he would just decided to crawl I know he could do it. But let's be honest, I am not in any rush to have a baby getting into everything!!

Bath Time

Since he began sitting up so well, He likes his baths so much more. He loves it when the water is coming out of the faucet and loves to splash the water. Good thing Aunt Z picked out some bath toys for him. He will have tons of fun when they get here. I can't believe how big he is getting!!

Way too busy to look at the camera

Aww, there's that adorable smile

Crazy hair

Look how long it is getting, at least on top! He has way longer eyelashes than me. Thank goodness for his daddy!!

Getting Dirty

For those of you that don't know, I hate to be dirty, especially my hands. I have never been a good outdoors woman because of that. This last week I have been so proud of myself because I have gotten my hands dirty!!

First, I began by wanting to get some fresh herbs. So I got some plants, potting soil and everything. I dug my hands into the dirt and covered them with soil. I was so excited I had fresh herbs that I planted. Kenney was less than impressed! He said that did not count as getting my hands dirty. I totally thought it counted.

So I decided to really get my hands dirty. I skinned an entire chicken WITHOUT gloves!! I know that is a huge shock to most of you who know that I avoid touching raw meat at all costs. I almost took a picture of it, but decided it looked pretty nasty and did not want that on my blog. I know these things might not seem like a lot to most people, but to me, I have accomplished so much! Kenney agreed that the chicken counted.

My Herbs: Rosemary, Sage, Oregano, & Basil

Our House Plant

Kyler, of course, is a true boy and does not mind being dirty, at all. He acts as though he is being horrifically tortured if I try and clean his face in any way. He seriously screams bloody murder.

He was actually blowing snot bubbles. I didn't get one, but the snotty face and the bib fit perfect!

Football Games

Kyler is slowly getting used to Texas football. He is still not extremely comfortable with all the noise and excitement, but he loves it at the same time. Kenney's youngest brother had an 8th grade game on Thursday we went to for a warm-up. He did really well during that game which I think helped for Friday night's game. Kaden played awesome too!

It was Homecoming for Childress so there was a lot happening. Kyler could not miss a second of it. He stayed awake for the whole game and did not fall asleep until 11:30!! We tried multiple times to get him asleep, but he was entirely too distracted. He never cried as long as he was looking around at everything. Needless to say, I think Kyler loves Friday Night Lights!!

Childress won in the last minute of the game, so it was loud and really exciting. Keyan blocked a pass in the last minute and got a lot of amazing tackles.

Kyler with the Defensive Player of the Game, Uncle Keyan. Keyan had a great game and I almost got the score in the background 28 to 24.

I forgot to mention the amazing coaches too! Here is Kyler with the best coach, Coach Payne. He is Kyler's uncle, for those of you that don't know.

All smiles after the game

Busy Boy

Even though Kyler is not quiet mobile yet, he is very busy. He is never still unless he is absolutely exhausted or sick. It is very odd to see him relaxing. He continues to do his crunches all day long and will not crawl!! He can entertain himself as long as he does not see Kenney or me. As soon as he sees us he starts whining. Funny how that works!

He has not had many new adventures lately, besides a Texas football game! Lets just say he's not a fan, yet. He did not like all of the loud noises and yelling. He did enjoy all of the stuff happening around him. He only cried during the entire first quarter because it was all new. and the last quarter because it was a close game and there was lots and lots of noise, plus it was late. But Childress won and Uncle Keyan did amazing!! We'll see how Kyler does the week.

Hmm... I wonder who sent him this?? Auntie Shandi of course!!

Silly Boy
The blurry pics are from my phone, sorry.

This is what Kyler was thinking during the football game. He fell asleep during the second quarter. He had had enough!!

Mr. Grumpy Gills

Here is a better picture of his 'pimp' outfit, as Kenney calls it. Notice the pimp shoes also.

Kyler jumping around and having a blast! Thanks Nanny
