Christmas on the Square

Wellington now has a Chamber of Commerce, and they have been doing a lot of new activities. They did a new lighting of the square downtown and asked the kids at the elementary to sing some songs they have been learning at school. There was also a Santa in the museum, lots of hot chocolate, a hayride and a few other musical numbers. The kids seemed to have a good time and it was nice to get together with the community. Plus, the kids love seeing their friends outside of school. We also had some friends come to visit. The Barlows used to live in Childress, but Preston got into PA school causing them to move to Utah. They decided they wanted to move back here, so Kenney told them to talk to the administrator at the hospital. Apparently things went well because they offered him a contract. Hopefully the contract negotiations go well and we could have some real friends by August!! They have a daughter only a few months younger than Bentley and a little boy that was born this summer. We're excited to get them here!

Hopefully these girls will be BFFs all the time when Rafe's family moves here. They got along so well and loved playing with one another.
LOVEing their hot chocolate.

He's a good Papa
All the kids braving the cold to come sing.
Bentley was being a stinker, but MJ was all smiles.
Going for a hayride.
Somehow Damon got on the first round without the others.

The kids all seemed to really know the songs.

Radley was pretty funny singing this one. It's blurry when I zoomed in, but if you look close you can find him screaming his little heart out (he's on the end).

Mackenzie's favorite part of the night was when Dad let her 'drive' the 2 blocks home! She had a blast! The boys thought it was pretty funny too!
