Baseball 2024 (Kyler, Radley, & Mackenzie)

This year Radley and Mackenzie were the only kids that wanted to play baseball.  Kyler ended up being a semi-permanent sub on one of the senior league teams.  They all played really well and had fun.  Kyler surprised himself with how well he was able to play.  Radley played very solidly every game no matter the position his coach had him, and Mackenzie LOVED having her dad as her coach! She did really well for her first year of t-ball.  I was glad the season was over because I will never be in charge of the concession stand again!

Ready to swing!
As usual all the kids loved Kenney.

This is one of the best hits I got recorded. The first couple games and last game were her best. She hit a rough patch for hitting in the middle of the season.

She never missed that high-5 coming into home plate.

T-ball is not always the most entertaining sport to play when you aren't in the right position. She kept herself busy though, haha!

This kid loves to hit almost as much as he loves to slide!!

There were multiple games that he only walked one batter. He was a very accurate pitcher. However, that came to hurt him in the last game because one kid got a home run off him, another got an amazing outfield hit, and another kid that never hit the ball just stuck the bat out, basically, and Radley pitched it right down the middle and he got on base. He did really, really well pitching this year. Now he's going to learn how to move the pitch around.

I missed the hit, but I got the best part, haha!!

It was very rare that he didn't make it all the way around!

He's a quick little guy! And this is his first year in this division. He'll get to play one more year on this field.

See? The kid loves to slide!!

This is the only picture I got from Kyler's games, and it was an accident because I was recording the hit.  I was in the concession stand for all of them.  I'll try and do better next year.

Kenney got a lot of good videos too! He was super excited for Kyler.

He hit the ball almost every time he was up to bat. It was great to see!

This ball was hit so high that if the wind wasn't blowing against it, there is no way it wouldn't have gone over the fence!!

This one was super high too! Sorry for the annoying yelling.

Vegas 2024

After California we headed to Aunt DeeAnne's in Las Vegas to visit them while we were out that way.  The kids had a great time and spent most of it in the pool.  I took the boys to the strip while the girls stayed behind to swim some more!  It was another quick 2 days, but we made the most of it. The boys wanted to see the Sphere (which we should have gone to last, because it was much more impressive at night), we caught the fountains 2 twice which are always cool, but the hit of the night was the Stanger Things museum we happened to walk past.  The boys thought it was super cool and had to Facetime Kenney while we were walking through it.  We drove by the Sphere one last time in the dark on the way back, and it is pretty cool, but much better from far away.

Gotta love annoying brothers!!

Caught the girls doing a little dance in the hot tub; I love how into it Mackenzie gets. It's hard to record because she stops doing it when she catches me taking a video.

Maybe one day we can go to the real Venice!

First time he's probably ever held a phone like that
Weird creature from Stranger Things
This kid still loves Paris
So pretty at night!
Love doing things with these boys!!
Driving by the Sphere at night, much more impressive!

The lights are so much further apart up close than they seem when seeing the sphere from a distance.

This was a pretty cool song to see put to life. We actually heard this song the next week when we were watching a movie as a family which was pretty funny!

This was a creepy but cool advertisement on the strip!

Trip to California

George was getting baptized the Saturday after Kyler's graduation, so we left as soon as we changed clothes after the graduation to get to California on time.  The kids and I drove with Oma & Papa Dude.  Dad stayed behind in Texas.  It was a long drive and a quick trip.  We crammed as much as stuff as possible in while we were there.

We had quite the packed vehicle!  It was actually a lot better than I expected it to be.  The kids did awesome!
We had a beautiful sunset driving through New Mexico.  The pictures didn't do it justice, but we tired.
Kyler found some cool shades!
It's hard to see, but I wasn't expecting to see someone riding a horse on the streets of California, but we saw one!
Views from the stake center
It was fun seeing Grandma and Grandpa!  Kyler and Damon were able to spend one night with them in a hotel.
Cousins with the man of the hour after his baptism!
Teddie and Winnie trying to figure out how to get in the water!
Going to play at the park while George played baseball.

Teddie and Winnie have the best laughs!! And my kids were happy to make them laugh!

Damon's face hahaha!!

That is some cold water!! But they were LOVING it!!

These boys needed some boogie boards!!

They entertained themselves for a while on this sandhill

The jump looked way cooler in slow motion

Radley was in on the action too!

Damon and Bentley getting along?? Glad I got this recorded!!

A bunch of other kids started trying to do this after they saw Radley

Bentley preferred the sitting version when doing it solo!
I was surprised by the music selection on a California pier, but the views were pretty!

They were doing such a good job of "not" getting wet, haha!
