Crawling & More

He is officially on the move! Radley has been able to get around for a while now, but he is on hands and knees now ready to go!  His only problem now is that he has not figured out how to follow any of us.  He will stay in a room and scream rather than crawl to find us.  Hopefully once he figures that out the screaming in our home will decrease, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed!!

I love this chubby little face and those blue eyes!

This hat has made both Kyler and Radley's faces look so round.

Someone left a chocolate animal cracker laying around and look who found it!

Grandma Hill sent the boys a Valentine's Day package and these lip whistles were in there.  Be grateful I didn't add a video of the lovely noise they make :)

These next pictures show just how different Kyler and Damon are.  This is what it looks like after Damon puts his clothes away.

This is what Kyler's drawers look like after he puts his clothes away.  I know that Kyler is 3 and Damon is 2, but Damon just muscles the clothes in and shoves them in the drawers.  Kyler, on the other hand, makes sure all his clothes fit, the drawers close and nothing is hanging out.

And Kyler couldn't stand Damon's clothes hanging out, so he went and tucked them all in the drawers!

He's getting so BIG!

Watching his brothers to make sure it's safe for him.

He likes to be right in the middle of everything; just ask Damon!!

This is how I found Kyler after I put all their clothes in the washer!  Goofy boy.

I know this is kinda gross, but I think his face is just priceless!  One night at dinner Radley all of a sudden started throwing up.  He then just sat there perfectly content!

Kyler's 'Test' & Krispy Kreme

Kenney is currently taking a pediatrics class at school and was given an assignment to perform a developmental test on a child. Since our house has plenty of children to go around, Kenney offered his classmates to use our kids to test. He decided to do the test on Kyler to see where he was standing. We thought he would be the best and easiest to test since he has a good ability to concentrate and understand what was being asked of him. We also thought it would be faster to test Kyler rather than Damon. Another group asked to do Radley, so Kyler it was! The test ended up taking 2 hours and 15 mins!! Apparently the child has to get 3 zeros in a row on each section of the test before stopping. Kyler made it to the end of every section and the test goes through age 6 and he is only 3!! We thought he was a little above average, but we were shocked!! He had the most trouble with scissors, but with good reason.  I have never let him use scissors!!  He did things I didn't even know he could do.  Needless to say, he made quite the impression.

We told Kyler that he was going to Daddy's school to take a test.  He went in his room to get ready, and this is how he came out.  He had a backpack and a lunchbox ready for school!!  It was pretty cute!
Here are his results:
       91 percentile for gross motor
       84 percentile for fine motor
Overall 91 percentile (in one section for grasping he scored perfect)

So this is how Damon chooses to play around the house everyday.  If it was 80 degrees outside I wouldn't think anything of it, but it is freezing (literally) outside.  Our house is not that warm either!  He also refuses to wear pants outside, and rather than fight him, we now have a compromise to just put pants on over his shorts.  Crazy child!

Radley on a playgroup field trip to Krispy Kreme.  Sorry these are not the best pictures.  I was trying to hold Radley and watch the other two while taking pictures!

Kyler's horrible CHEESE face!

I was amazed that Krispy Kreme gave all of the parents and kids donuts, chocolate with sprinkles.  They also set the boxes down right next to us so the boys thought they each needed 2 donuts.  Kyler said, "Mom I only had ONE donut.  I need more."

Riding Bikes & An Eventful Dinner

Kyler has been begging and begging to go ride his bike ever since we brought his bike home. It was finally a nice day without wind and cold, where all of us could go to the park.  I can do many things by myself with three little boys, but taking them to the park and trying to teach two of them how to ride a bike and keep one entertained in the stroller is just not one of those things!!  We decided we would try to teach them both to ride without training wheels.  We figured we could always put them on if necessary.  Kyler is already getting better.  Kenney said every time he went around the park he got better!  He needs a lot more practice, but I think it will get here by summer time.  (We need extra time because we can only practice when Daddy is home).

Learning how to balance.

For the most part, he's got the steering and peddling down.

Daddy took a turn on the bike and chased two crazy boys!

These two have fairly similar personalities when it comes to this kind of stuff!

Oh yeah, Radley came too!

Damon's turn!

Damon still doesn't quite understand the peddling part yet.

I love how tiny his bike is compared to Kenney.

I think most moms at the park think I am a terrible mom.  They always get really nervous when Damon, and Kyler for that matter, start climbing things.  Honestly, I can't stop either of them.  Trust me, I have tried!!

Made it to the top!

We had a dinner to remember the other night!!  For the first time ever, Kyler ate his ENTIRE dinner!!  (I'm not including pizza, chicken nuggets, etc.  I mean 'real' food.)  We had a Keys' Family favorite, tator-tot casserole.  He also had a reasonable sized portion of peas and apple slices. He at ALL of it!!  Can you tell I'm excited?!?

For the last couple months, we have been trying to get Kyler to eat better, meaning something besides peanut butter and chicken nuggets.  There have been many nights he has gone to bed hungry, but he knows he needs to take at least one bite of dinner before he can leave the table.  This particular night, he decided that he would eat just the tator-tots (without the meat) and his peas to get a treat.  I was pretty sure he would actually like everything if he would just try it, so I made him a deal!  I told him if he ate everything on his plate I would get him ice cream with chocolate syrup.  Apparently that was all he needed to hear!!  He came up to me after he had his ice cream and said, "Mom, I'm full."  I think it was the first time in his entire life that he actually felt full!!

The video at the end was at the same dinner.  Radley has been difficult to feed, just like all of my babies.  He has decided he doesn't want to eat anything that is not sweet.  He will eat fruit of any kind, but absolutely hates veggies or anything that doesn't have a sweet enough flavor.  He loves table food, but he doesn't have any teeth yet, making it quite difficult to give him normal food.  I have tried mixing fruit into his vegetables, but that doesn't work.  I now try and trick him by giving one bite of fruit, so he will open his mouth, followed by a bite of veggies.  You will see how unsuccessful we have been!

I had to take a picture for proof, and I wanted him to know just how excited I was that he finally ate a 'real' dinner!!

Of course Damon ate all his dinner too, not quite as exciting, but still ice cream worthy!

I felt kinda bad because the ice cream was left over from an end of semester celebration for Kenney, before Christmas, but neither of the boys seemed to notice!

And this crazy-haired boy is just too cute not to add another picture!

It is seriously pathetic!

Radley Loves His Brothers

I am so glad, for the most part, my boys seem to really love one another. Radley is beginning to interact more and more with his brothers, and I love watching them together. He follows everything they do and wants to go play with them! He absolutely LOVES his big brothers. However, he and Damon also have a slight hate relationship too, when it comes to Mom. They are both HUGE Momma's boys. If I am holding one of them and the other sees, he will immediately begin crying! It drives me crazy! I try to at least sit down and put them both on my lap, but that doesn't seem to satisfy either of them. They both push one another away. It is quite ridiculous. Kenney constantly reminds me that I will always be loved!! Hopefully in the future, they can show their love in other ways rather than crying and fighting on my lap!!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub 3 boys in the tub!

Radley has finally relaxed about the whole bathtub thing.  He actually enjoys getting in with the other two, playing with toys, and splashing.

I love how bath time entertains all of them at once!

All Smiles!!

See they do love each other.

So so cute!!

The other day at Target I bought some silk flowers on clearance.  Kyler was nice enough to bring one of them in from the car, and he stuck it in the flower pot with my other plant. I guess that is where he thought it should go!

Sneaky sneaky!!
When I picked up the boys up from daycare at the gym, they boys begged me to go to the bank.  I didn't have any banking to do, but we went anyway, just to get suckers!!  Yes, I am THAT mom!!  It did make for some happy kids, so who could blame me?

One day Damon brought out his golf club and began hitting a ball.  Radley was sitting on Kenney's lap and thought it was hilarious to watch Damon.  It is hard to hear Radley's laugh, but it was so darn cute watching and listening to Radley!  Damon of course loved that Radley had fun watching him.  Kyler then had to get involved too!

This is Kyler's new way of playing basketball. He likes to 'slam' the ball!

New Year's

I LOVE cousins!! It is so fun to watch my boys play and interact with their cousins! We were able to spend some time with cousins over the New Year's holiday, and it was great! Kyler and his cousin Tyce who are 5 weeks apart are best buds. They get along so well and play ALL day long. They hardly ever fight, and if they do, they get over it within 5 minutes. It is amazing. Damon is also playing much better with his cousins too.  It is so nice that they both have something to entertain them all day, and I don't have to do the entertaining!!  We got to see Aunt Savanna and meet her new boyfriend Kevin.  My boys love playing with her, and we miss her so far away in Utah.  She played with them so much, and Kevin jumped on the trampoline and wrestled with them too!  I was sad I forgot to take more pictures of my kids with aunts and uncles (on both sides of the family) over the Holidays.  Overall, our kids were very disappointed to come home!!

Tyce was so good with Radley.  I was really surprised how patient and loving Tyce was to Radley.  He is going to be a great big brother to his new sibling.

This little cutie, Luke, let me get some cute pictures!  He is about two and a half months younger than Damon, but he makes Damon look like a shrimp!

Someone needed a haircut!!

Brek wouldn't let me get a better picture.  I still can't believe how grown up she is now!!  It makes me sad.

I told you he was a cutie!!

Good thing he doesn't have stinky feet yet or those socks would be gross.

All the boys had fun outside.  They rode and pushed bikes and ride-on toys all day long.

Kenney showing Kyler how to ride his bike.

Seriously, they played together the entire time we were there.

Running up and down the driveway.  It was so nice that Nana & Papa's house has so much running space.

He is already a distracted driver; trying to eat while riding.

Nana & Kacy playing a game with all the kids.

This little guy got his 2nd haircut and discovered baths really can be fun!

Splash, Splash

He is getting big WAY too fast!
